Ugh Monday - I felt like crying when my alarm went off at 4.45 this morning. I was really feeling the lost hour. Anyway put my big girl pants on and made it into the office despite being tempted to WFH. I worked in the office until lunchtime then came back home to finish. Just need to do a few bits before calling it a day.
Picked up my free coffee this morning and remembered to bring my Thermos cup so I wasn't wasting a disposal one.
Got Mr SA to meet me at Lid! on the way home as I wanted to pick up a sack of potatoes and some wood bark. Gutted I was just £7 short of the £40 spend to get £5 off. If only I'd added the couple of candles I was thinking about getting to my basket. Oh well! I have however hit the target to get 10% off my next shop for the first time ever. Will need to make sure I use that wisely and not on a day when I'm spending less than £5. I'll see what the offers are on Thursday before activating it.
Payday and a bit of a money shuffle has been done. Can't feed the regular savers until tomorrow but have sent required amounts to sinking funds. CC balance has been cleared and an oddment of £1.62 has gone to the Christmas pot.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and will do a short yoga session later to stretch out.
Tonight's dinner is something quick and easy - scampi, potato wedges and either salad or steamed veg.

Forgot to add the holiday final confirmation arrived today and thankfully the great flight times haven't changed. Only 4 weeks to go now 😎 I now need to book Mr SA's scooter hire and the airport lounge.
In other nice news this is my last full working week until the third week of May 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -

Sun_Addict said:sarah_diamond said:Saturday kitchen showed Nadiya's banana skin curry again on the show on Saturday morning, I'm still not sure how I feel about it so haven't tried it but my OH is going through a banana phase at the moment so might make it one weekend. It does make the curry veggie/vegan so I think it would work for you.3

Morning all, happy Tuesday and happy April.
Holiday month 😎
WFH today.
Mr M delivery has been and all packed away. Unfortunately will have to go to the big Mr T later as they were out of Mr SA's beer! There are rarely any subs or missing items as the app usually won't let you order if they're out of stock, but on the odd occasion it happens it always seems to be his beer 😆 It's on offer in Mr T so might pick up a few crates so there's an emergency stock if it happens again. We need to take the dog out so can combine a park trip with the Mr T trip. I don't have any meetings this morning so can take a bit of time off.
I booked the airport lounge last night as I had a 10% off code so that's one thing off the list. Obviously it would be cheaper to just grab a drink/something to eat in the airport cafes but I can leave Mr SA in the lounge with unlimited coffees and bacon rolls while I have a browse round the duty free then come back and have a glass of fizz. In the past when we haven't booked it I spent most of my time wheeling him round the airport looking for a seat in a cafe then queuing for ages. So it's a lot more relaxed going in the lounge. It's just been refurbished so will be interesting to see what they've done to it.
First of the month so need to feed all the regular savers today. I'm not bothering with PBs this month, getting a bit disillusioned after 2 years without even a sniff of a win plus bills have gone up and I'm repaying an extra £100 off the mortgage to get it cleared by the end of the year.
Today's exercise will be dog walking combined with the Mr T trip, a new live class at lunchtime Retro Robics, interested to see what that involves, and resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is an old favourite recipe Spanish style chickpea stew. Getting into the Spanish vibe ready for my hols 🤣
I did a bit of gardening last night so plan to do another little bit tonight. The lighter nights certainly encourage you to get stuff done.
Also need to give the kitchen a good clean before DD comes back from work. Washing is out on the line so that will need ironing later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
I've just looked up a recipe for the stew and earmarked it for tonight! IT sounds exactly our sort of thing. Do you use chilli in yours?
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

If we don't get a win of some sort this year I'm probably going to move our premium bonds money elsewhere next year.3

The trip to the big Mr T was very worthwhile as not only did I pick up Mr SA's beer on offer but they had some lovely plants in for £7 each. We have a beautiful climbing hydrangea at the front of the house and I've been looking for another one for some time as they cover a lot and would be ideal for the fence between us and the church. Was very pleased to be able to pick up 2 in Mr T plus a Photinia Red Robin exactly the same size as the one I was looking at in the garden centre selling at £20 but in Mr T £7. Really pleased with that haul.
In money news all five regular savers have now been fed with the full amounts for the month and another £150 overpayment has gone to the mortgage.
Surveys/cashback now cashed out totalling £74.61. I am just 25 points away from cashing out £50 on YG, so near yet so far.
£25.00 Opinium
£2.30 Amazon Shopper Panel
£19.98 Top Cash Back
£27.53 Prolific (another £6 pending but not cleared so will roll over to next month).
