Thank you both. Anyway after lots of faff and fiddling I’ve managed to fix my Fitbit 🥳 At least for now 🤞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

That's good news on the Fitbit. Have to admit I'm another one who used to be loyal to them for years but the last one never synced properly and I abandoned it. The (Mr Redo cast off when he got a new one) Apple Watch in turn was very bulky on the wrist and it didn't have the function that I wanted (namely to track and compete on steps) without faffing about so I never used it. I just got an entry level Garmin wrist band which shows the time and my steps at a glance without being heavy. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Glad the Fitbit has finally behaved itself and started working again.Interesting talk about the water meter…..I’m not convinced we’d be any better as I prefer baths to showers……dh keeps mentioning it but I refuse to give my daily bath up….i do only have it fairly shallow .January spends - £587.583

I suspect that DSs 30 minute showers may scupper the use of a meter. I did try cutting him down once but it was a bit of a MH fail, so that's a no.3

Morning all, happy Friday eve.
Well I'm afraid the Fitbit fix was short lived as the battery is now flat again despite being fully charged yesterday. So it appears the battery is at fault. Oh well I did try.
Back to plan B and a new fitness watch. I'm torn between an Apple Watch SE and Garmin Lily. The latter looks just like a normal watch and sounds like it would suit my very tiny wrist better. They are both almost the same price. I have enough to cover the cost in my personal spends pot so that's not an issue, just a pain to have to replace something I already had that was working perfectly well a couple of days ago.
The new phone is up and running, it's slightly different to my last one so a couple of things to get used to. I've gone from an ancient iPhone 7 to iPhone 13 so a fair jump.
More expense tomorrow no doubt as I have an eye test. It's just over 2 years since my last one so no doubt I'll need new glasses even though it only seems like 5 minutes since I bought my current ones. On the plus side work pay for VDU glasses so I'll only have to fork out for reading glasses. I do have yet another pot to cover glasses thankfully. I was originally going to have my eyes tested on my day off last Friday but realised that work let you have time off for eye tests so changed it to tomorrow, might as well do it in work's time.
WFH today so a nice leisurely start to the day. Started reading my new book yesterday and disappointed to note it doesn't have any chapters which is messing with my head. It's just split into 3 parts each one with loads of pages! The storyline is easy to follow though so that's a bonus.
I need to see what needs using up for tonight's dinner. I really need to get back to be organised with the meal plan and everything else. I don't know why I've been so discombobulated the past couple of weeks, this really isn't like me I'm usually super organised.
Today's exercise plan is dog walking later this morning, kettlebells at lunchtime and Zumba tonight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I've been very dissorganised lately as well. Must be the weather...lolMaking the debt go down and savings go up

I received a Garmin Lily 2 for my birthday last year. My bit of fit went the same way as yours - refused to hold charge, no longer updated then conked out. It wasn't even all that old. Mr F's did pretty much the same a few months later. I don't like big clunky watches/trackers but as I also needed a new watch, this was perfect. I chose a natural leather strap which is sufficiently neutral to go with all my stuff.
