I was wondering if you could quietly pocket the widgetty bit that allows the hose to attached to the outside tap, like this:

and then put it back on when you do want to use the hose?

The painter has just been to look at what needs doing. He's busy at the moment and won't be able to get until some time next month which is fine by me as I could do with another regular saver maturing for this as the garden work we're having done at the moment wasn't planned for and has eaten most of the home improvements budget. This is more down to materials than labour costs as there is quite a bit of fencing and gravel boards involved plus trellising around the pond. It all needed doing at some stage so decided to go for it now when the gardener is free. The savings I had earmarked for home improvements matures in October so this should come in just at the right time. Once the kitchen has been painted I plan to replace the dishwasher and fridge freezer but have a different pot for appliances and there should be enough in there.

This week's meal plan revolves around some new recipes from the G00d F00d app:

    • Gochujang veggie sausage orzo
    • Spiced prawn tacos with avocado lime crema
    • Tofu and mushroom dan-dan style noodles
    • Creamy butterbean spaghetti

I've got most of the ingredients in stock so will only need to buy a few fresh ones. I won't be using the mushrooms in my garden 😆

Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I'm doing a live strength training class followed by a live yoga class tonight.

Oooh, prawn tacos sound lovely, just my kind of thing, esp if avocado is also involved.

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

Good luck with the hospital scan tomorrow, including the journey. I know these things tend to be more complicated because of Mr SA's limited mobility & no car so planning it all down to the last detail as you do, is the best way forward. Hopefully this will be another stage nearer finding out what causes the gastric issues & a treatment plan.

Hope the gastroscopy goes well, sedation is definitely a necessity.
