Not totally convinced that a lung health check is something that can be done wonderfully efficiently over the phone - I mean clearly if someone actively sounds massively breathless it might be a red flag for them to be called in, but there's a lot it's not gong to identify!

Think this is the way of the NHS now unfortunately.  My FIL, aged 86 has COPD and his annual check at the surgery has been cancelled and he now gets a phone call from the "Asthma nurse".  He was complaining that she didn't really listen to him, just asked how he was, how was he getting on with his inhaler etc. Then decided, for no apparent reason that they would prescribe him a different inhaler.

Hope the young cat is alright and just feeling a bit under the weather.

It's horrible when they are ill and they obviously can't tell you what is wrong.

thinking about lively young cat - hope ok - they do cause so much worry because they can’t tell you what they are feeling….

Phoned the vet and they've suggested seeing how she is in the morning. I mentioned the hyacinth but they didn't appear to be overly concerned as she hasn't actually eaten any of it. As they suggested it could be something else entirely, she was fine yesterday. If I'm still concerned they'll fit her in when I take the dog, although this doesn't resolve the issue I have of struggling with both of them at the same time. We were originally going to take them both on Mr SA's scooter but I was concerned about the cat box being in the foot well for a fairly lengthy journey and Mr SA isn't exactly the most careful driver.
