Oh, poor you. Must be a nightmare trying to work with all the noise and vibration.  Surely they should have given people warning, in case they needed to get their cars out before it started.

Interesting how all the councils are different.
We can recycle soft plastics & cat food pouches and hard plastic & tins all in one bin.  Amazing how quickly that bin fills up.
Our local authority also takes soft plastics in the recycling bin but randomly we can't put glass in there!

We can put stretchy plastic, plastic tubs etc, foil, paper/cardboard, glass, tin, tetrapak in our kerbside bins. But not crinkly plastic wrap, that goes to supermarket.  I found that my eco zero waste refill shop, takes certain things for recycling, which she sends to T*tr*cyc!*......pens ( including felt pens etc), plastic cards (library cards, debit cards, loyalty cards etc), cheese wrappers, ink cartridges, and bras (sent to 3rd world countries I believe).
Also most Ag* UK CSs take old rags, so any old cleaning cloths, clothes etc that aren't good enough for anything else. I believe they get money for the weight of them. Not sure what happens to them after that TBH.

We had a letter put through our doors last week advising people to move their cars if they were parked on the road but it didn't mention drives. However they're moving along the road pretty quickly. My desk is shaking at the moment 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

It all sounds a bit chaotic SA…..routers, diggers, worried cats a😳😳🥴🥴 Just make sure MRSA doesn’t add to it by falling down a hole in the road on his scooter. Hope you get chance to unwind this evening.

You were lucky to get to work without too many problems. Wind is getting up here now.
