I agree with @badmemory. If something only lasts for 3 months, then it wasn't fit for purpose & the cost should be refunded.

Hope you find a better Wi-Fi thingy…..3 months isn’t fit for purpose. The recycling isn’t good either. I know it’s good to recycle things and we all should do our best but they don’t make it easy.Well done on the holiday insurance - your next holiday will be with you before you know it.January spends - £587.584

Remember Martin's "SAD FART" rule - 3 months is no time at all, and for an item which is meant to stand up to daily use, it's almost irrelevant what you paid! 90 days-ish is not a "reasonable length of time"!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Agree, I'd be onto that under the not fit for purpose/reasonable length of time clause as it is definite refund territory. Nobody buys these things expecting just 90 days of function. It doesn't matter how cheap it might have been. If it can't manage to do longer than 3 months before carking it, it wasn't up to the job in the first place.

That's Wednesday done.
Worked in the office for most of the day and did the last 30 minutes from home. It was one of those days with back to back meetings so was struggling to get away.
Thank you all re your thoughts about the wifi extender. I've had to order another one as I need it for WFH, however I'll be able to claim the cost back from work. I bought if from a small business via Am@zon and have managed to message the seller via a chat function. Apparently I should receive a message from the seller within 48 hours. It's a shame as when it was working it was really good to say it was less than £20. I must've been unlucky and got a faulty one.
On the coffee pod recycling issue, I checked again today in case it was a glitch but it's still showing as the nearest drop off place as being over 7 miles away. My next step is to contact Podback and ask them why they've withdrawn the service of dropping them off locally. @Cherryfudge I really can't see my workplace being able to do this, we used to have one of those bra banks at the previous office premises but we just don't have the space now we've moved and space is at a premium. I suppose I should look at a different type of coffee machine but the all singing and dancing ones would be wasted as I only drink black coffee and Mr SA wouldn't be able to operate it. I quite fancy a bean to cup machine but likewise I'm not sure if Mr SA would find it easy to use. Something to research.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home for bread rolls and cheese but only spent £4.
Mid-week finance check done, paid off cc balance and sent £6.40 to the Christmas pot.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I'm doing my usual live Zumba class at 6 so will be on well over 20,000 steps by the time I get to sit down later.
Tonight's dinner is a left over portion of spiced butternut squash stew.

Scrap all that about the pods. Have just been on the Podback site and gone into the FAQs and lo and behold there is the bit where you drop them off at a local store that accepts returns via Yodel. So they've moved it to a different part of their website - thank goodness for that! I did think it was odd that they'd withdrawn so many options.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
