Woo hoo it's Friday 😁
Working in the office today, doing 6 hours then finishing for the weekend. I always work extra in the week and use the flexi for an early finish.
I'm going to stop off at Waitr0se for the free paper and magazine then pop into Tesco to see if their free magazine is out yet. Then I will be calling at Lid! to spend that £10 voucher - I have a list 😆 They've got some useful 15% off discounts on things I buy regularly this week so will have a bit of a stock up.
Today's exercise is walking to/from work and I'm determined to do a short Pilates or yoga session before having a long soak in the bath. I really want to get into doing more stretching exercise but because I'd rather dance or jump about I do find it rather boring. I used to do weekly yoga and Pilates classes at work before we moved buildings and lost the
Tonight's dinner is jacket potato with a portion of veg chilli from freezer stocks.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
I'm always amazed by how far £10, combined with other discount vouchers stretches in Lidlees.2

The mag wasn't in my tescos & most of the fridge shelves were empty. It appears they had a lot of fridges & freezers fail. We usually have a cheat tea on Saturday, well we won't this one. Even the f&v seemed to be missing stuff. The only thing that hasn't gone up is the milk. The very fact that they have screwed the farmers down to these prices is going to turn out to be a major problem in the future even though great for us now.

Happy Saturday 🥂
Got up very early and enjoyed reading my book with a coffee and relaxing music.Another attempt at the new live Salsacise class but the instructor still hasn’t sorted the technical issues with the sound so gave up halfway through as it was impossible to follow. Loads of people were complaining.Went to the big Mr T with the soft plastic recycling. I’ve made my first purchase for Christmas as they were selling off Edinburgh Christmas Gin for £15, the cheapest I’ve seen it is £25. Only one bottle left so grabbed it. That’s been put away for next Christmas. The Koko unsweetened long life coconut milk was also on offer so bought 3 cartons, I use it for my porridge as I don’t like normal milk. I also use it in place of tinned coconut milk in curry. It’s a decent walk to Mr T so the dog got a good walk and it earned me 10,000 steps in one swoop. Also stocked up on bird food at a local shop that sells huge bags of peanuts, sunflower seeds and mixed seed at £1 each. It’s one of those shops that sells everything and the owner is lovely so it’s good to support a local business. No visitors today and Mr SA is in bed so enjoying some relaxing time.Tonight’s dinner is Mexican bean burger with home made wedges and salad. I find bread rolls too stodgy so have my burger in a sandwich thin. What with my dislike of bread rolls, eggs, butter/margarine and milk I bet you’re all thinking what a fussy so and so 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
I agree about the thins. I love them and would much rather have them than a bread roll. DH just loves any sort of bread and would eat far too much if I let him.
A good amount of steps to Mr T and back. Not sure I'd make it to my Mr T, it is well over 4 miles each way. Mr M or Mr A or A!d!, I might just about make, although I haven't tried it. Think its about 3-3.5miles there. Its the coming back with the shopping that's the problem, although I do have a trolley but hardly every use it. Also the route is alongside a busy dual carriage way and the traffic fumes are horrendous, so that's what puts me off more than the distance TBH.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Morning all, happy Sunday 🙂
What a dark gloomy day it is here today. Need to go out with the dog shortly but the rest of the day will be spent indoors.Mr SA suggested this morning that I turn the mattress round as his bit is uncomfortable. So basically saying I can have the uncomfortable bit 😐 The bed and mattress only are 4/5 years old but he spends so much time in it, he’s heavy and he throws himself down on the bed rather than get in it properly so he’s shortening it’s lifespan. He’s done the same with his 2/3 years old armchair by falling on it sideways and squashing the arm.Anyway…
DD is at work so the plan is to give the kitchen and bathroom a good clean. I also need to do a meal plan and make a batch of soup for work lunches. I’m going to sit at the table and go through recipes and my freezer/cupboard list to see what I can use up.Tonight’s dinner is miso glazed salmon with braised leeks. That will finish up the last bit of miso paste and another piece of salmon from the freezer.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9
