The whistling 🐠 cards are lovely and such good value. It was your diary that first mentioned them and I get all my cards there now. The Christmas cards were beautiful too. It's on my list to do my order this afternoon to take advantage of the offer.2

And just like that it’s Smonday 😞
Been really productive today. After we’d been to the park with the dog I cleaned the bathroom and bedroom. Also changed the bedding. Then after lunch Mr SA went back to bed after only being up 3 hours (he’s still there now) so I gave the living and dining rooms a good clean. After that made a vegan banana loaf to use up some very ripe bananas, a batch of soup to use up some parsnips, carrots and swede and have made split pea curry for tonight’s dinner which has got rid of two more carrots.Still need to clean the kitchen but no point doing that until tonight’s cooking is done. It’s DD’s birthday today, also would’ve been my mom’s birthday. She’s been talking about renewing her passport and driving license which is so good to hear as she’s spent the last 10 years wasting her life in my opinion. I think the recent health scare has given her a wake up call. She has an appointment with her consultant next week so fingers crossed all is still going well.Won yet another lucky dip on the lottery. The dog’s paws are improving already and she’s not been biting them at all.Needless to say after a very spendy day yesterday today has been a NSD.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
It's would have been my nanas birthday today as well and I also won a lucky dip.

That's Monday done. Worked in the office until just after lunch then did the last hour from home.
Monday finance check done. CC balance paid off, £2 oddment sent to Christmas pot, transferred money from vet pot and birthdays pot to cover DDs birthday gift and vet bill. DD paid her board so that was sent to the holiday pot.
Free coffee enjoyed this morning with a piece of the vegan banana loaf I made yesterday.
Popped into Lid! on the way home for a few bits.
Today's exercise was walking to/from work 19,559 steps and I have the Fun Fitness (or whatever it's called 😆) live session at 6pm so will be on well over 20,000 steps.
Tonight's dinner is something quick and simple scampi with swede chips and steamed veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Morning all.
WFH today so have enjoyed a nice leisurely start to the day reading with a coffee.
Mr M delivery has been and all packed away. DD has filled the fridge with several punnets of grapes and strawberries and I really struggled to get my stuff in. Fortunately I didn't order much for the fridge and some of it will be used up today anyway.
Today's exercise is dog walking later this morning, Power Punch at lunchtime and Resistance Bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is yellow split pea curry left over from Sunday.
Week 2 of the 4 week budget period and doing really well so far, mainly because I'd stocked up so much when things were on offer before Christmas. I'm going to try and use up as much stuff as I can from freezer/cupboard stocks over the next few weeks.

I am not buying anything for our freezers for a few months now. We need to use up some stuff especially in the kitchen freezer, it is almost bursting at the seams!!2

I did a stocktake of our food cupboards at the weekend which made our shopping this week so much easier and cheaper. No need to go down the tins aisle as we have more than enough tomatoes, beans, tuna etc. the shopping was mostly fresh fruit and veg and my trolley made me look like a healthy eating paragon of virtue 😇5

Love the whistling fish shop. I never buy online but stock up every time we head to Cornwall. I think we might be due a trip this summer again. I’m working on getting my freezer down too.January spends - £587.582
