HNY SA - here’s hoping that 2025 manages to see good health and happiness for all members of your family, for a change!I must deal with my regular savers later too - annoying that I currently have several I have to do manually - one of the aims for any we add this year will be ensuring that we can automate them again ideally.
I too tend to avoid New Year’s resolutions as such - I’ve always found that making big plans and intentions at just one stage in the year means I start in a big flurry of enthusiasm but then things tend to fall by the wayside!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Happy New Year! Your regular savers are very impressive, and the continued overpayment to the mortgage.
I hope the weather clears up and you can get out and let the fresh air help clear your head.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Managed to get out with the dog although a bit later than usual so it was quite busy. The dog wasn’t too happy as she thinks it’s her park and how dare other dogs be there too 🤣
Watched the last episode of La Palma after lunch. Enjoyed it although I’m absolutely petrified at the thought of a Tsunami. I almost drowned at age 15 when a random stranger decided it was a good idea to pick me up and throw me in a river - I can’t swim. I’m still scared of deep water and can remember vividly that feeling of being underwater and the sound it makes. The lurgy has broken out into a full blown cold, sneezing, fuzzy head and blocked nose. I don’t feel too bad otherwise though. The fresh air earlier made me feel a bit better.Made a start at putting away the Christmas decorations. It never looks that different as I keep fairy lights up all year round. I also have a lighted twig tree up all year so that just goes in the place where the Christmas tree was. The Poinsettia is still going strong from Christmas 2023 and the orchid is flowering profusely so they’re cheering things up. The living room window seems to be the ideal place for them.I’ve made a list of the regular savers now there are quite a few of them otherwise I’ll mix them up. Might as well try and get as much interest as I can.
Cashed out £39.62 from surveys and £11.46 from TCB. That will go to my personal spends pot.Glad I’m WFH tomorrow and will probably do the same on Friday too depending on how I feel. Don’t think it will be busy, a lot are off until 13 January.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Happy New Year to you SA. Hope 2025 is calm and uneventful in the nicest possible way. I’ve just been catching up after not being on line much over Christmas.
Im pleased you are getting to the end of your cold. Typical that you get one when you’re off work. The Christmas show sounded lovely and I’m pleased MrSA came round to the idea.January spends - £587.581 -
Totally feel for you.I was 4 when I was thrown into a swimming pool,my fear of deep water is enormous.Learning to swim is something I want to do this year, just need to overcome the fear.

Morning all.
Back to work today but WFH so enjoyed my coffee and book time. When I walked into my little home office this morning and put the lamp on I noticed a small shape on the wall and thought what the heck is that! Approached it carefully in case it was a moth and realised as I got closer it was the picture hook where I hang my calendar. I took down last year's and forget to replace it with this year's. Must be losing the plot 🤣🤣
Yesterday was a NSD and today will be the same.
Today's exercise is dog walking later this morning, a Pilates session on the FitOn app and live Zumba tonight. Still waiting to hear about the new live classes on the WW app to replace the ones where the instructor has left, hoping they're going to start up next week.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of lentil ragu from freezer stocks with pasta. Determined to get those freezer and cupboard stocks down.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)11
