I'm sorry to hear you have another cold. What a misery! Get well soon.
Very odd about Mr SA sleepwalking, it must be eerie to watch.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I don’t think it’s another cold it’s the original one that I thought was clearing up. I feel better when I go outside so guess the central heating isn’t helping with the stuffiness.I could do without Mr SA sleepwalking on top of everything else. This might raise a smile though, he took the dog to the local shops for a scoot. When he left the house he was wearing a black woolly hat. When he returned he was wearing a bright orange one. Yes he’d been in the charity shop again 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I don’t make New Year resolutions instead I prefer to make small changes throughout the year as and when I see fit. However my hope for 2025 is to have an uneventful year, if you can remember back to May when DD and Mr SA were very poorly, oh and to finally defrost that blooming spare freezer 🤣 Surely that’s not too much to ask.I’ve always done the healthy eating and exercise thing, this has been lifelong for me so second nature. I was 10 when I started being aware, I remember going to the local sweet shop and asking if they had low calorie sweets 🤣 The woman behind the counter thought it was hilarious. There are some nice things to look forward to with a holiday in Lanzarote at the end of April for Mr SA’s 60th birthday, another holiday probably around September time (not yet booked), DS’s Halloween wedding and I think the mortgage will be finally paid off either at the end of 2025 or January/February 2026.I want to start saving more ready for retirement and plan to put the extra £100 a month from my pay rise into a retirement savings pot just so I’ve got a bit of a buffer. Once the mortgage has gone then the plan is to put that into the retirement fund. I also want to be a bit more on the ball with the grocery budget as that’s the one area that tends to be overspent on if I’m not careful.I don’t like to plan too far ahead, based on past experience, so as usual there will be mini goals just one month at a time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

We ended up taking the dog for a walk around the block the long way round. We live close to two high streets and went to the one with lots of bars, coffee shops and restaurants but went the long way round rather than just up the road. It was quite busy. Popped into the newly refurbished C0-0p mainly for a nosy and picked up a reduced price joint of beef for Mr SA. Cut it into 2 joints, 2 steaks and a bag of stewing beef and this has gone in the freezer. Not bad for £7.41. It was quite nice on the way home as it was just starting to get dark so we could admire the Christmas lights. The walk cleared my head, I feel really bunged up.I was sorry to hear about the passing of Johnnie Walker today ☹️Had a bath and watched another episode of La Palma before cooking dinner.Just need to clear the pots then will be putting my feet up with Prosecco and a jar of vapour rub 😆 No plans to still be awake at midnight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
