Sun_Addict said:@Cherryfudge I’ve had enough to be honest. I’ve been working full time since I left school. I finished my last exam on the Friday and started my first job on the Monday. The only thing I’ll miss about my job is the money. I sit on my own as my team are all in Scotland so I rarely interact with anyone when I’m in the office. The work friends I meet up for lunch with are in different business areas so are on different floors from me. Although hybrid working is great in some respects there is a downside, it can be quite lonely if you’re not co-located.
Well done on the DIY you intrepid soul!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning everyone.Up early as usual reading and drinking coffee. I plan to set off for BnM in around an hour. Will have to walk as the bus service doesn’t start running until 08.36. I need to make a list as there are a few things I need to pick up.I have a sneaky suspicion that Mr SA has twigged that I’m up to something. He’s been in my office and will have seen my clothes. Not that I’m doing anything remotely wrong, I just want to go to BnM without him tagging along. This is one thing I dread about retiring. I don’t want to be one of those older women you see in MnS and John L with the husband standing guard with a tartan shopping bag. When I get back the plan is to give the house a good clean and take the dog out. DD is working so the kitchen and bathroom will be free 😆
Tonight’s dinner is butternut squash dhal leftover from Saturday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

If you regularly start putting the next days clothes ready in your office you won't raise Mr SA suspicions next time you wish to go out unaccompanied 😉Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

BnM trip ✔️ Got the storage boxes and the other things on my list (plus a few things that weren’t 😆)
The shop was almost empty so a great time to go. It’s always a nightmare later in the day. It’s like Primani you need to go at opening time and be in and out like the SAS.Mr SA has a dodgy tummy again today. Good job I was planning on cleaning the bathroom anyway.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Glad you got there and back without incident. Sorry Mr SA has an upset tummy hope it settles.

I hope this isn't a heartless suggestion @Sun_Addict but does Mr SA need to know that you're retiring? If you carried on more or less as usual the penny may not drop. You need to stay in good shape for everyone's sake...in awe of you, as ever. Love Humdinger xx2
