Morning all, happy Monday, another week started.
In the office today and will be here all day as I don't have enough time in between meetings to walk home and finish my day there. At least I've only got to do 4 days this week.
Today's exercise is walking to/from work and yoga when I get home. Trying to squeeze in at least 2 yoga sessions a week.
Tonight's dinner is Spanish style chickpea stew with veggie chorizo.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Glad you managed to avoid the icy slope and get back home via another route.
I actually enjoy walking through the Christmas market but don’t often buy anything except a mulled wine. That of course is providing they’re not too busy. We travelled to a different town yesterday afternoon and the market was lovely…..not as big and spread out as my big city town. Last year though we were at a market where we watched the stall holder take big Costc@ cakes out and sell them for £5 each. They were the big muffins that are sold there with the addition of icing and either a biscuit or chocolate added……at the time the basic muffins worked out at 50p each 😳😳😳January spends - £587.582 -
Morning all, happy Tuesday.
Had to get up at 4.20 as the dog was desperate to go out then the cats wanted feeding so decided to stay up and order DGD's Christmas present. Did some research to find who was doing the best deal and went via TCB. Also had to fiddle with the boiler as it was showing an error code, thankfully it's ok now.
WFH today. Got another day packed with meetings. I was so tired when I got home yesterday from staring at screens all day. Didn't even get time for a proper lunch break as one of the meetings overran.
Mr M delivery arrived just after 6am so has all been packed away.
Start of the week finances check done a day late. CC balance paid off and an oddment of £4.54 sent to the Christmas pot. Looked at Friday's payslip and was very pleasantly surprised with the back pay, I wasn't expecting it to be that much.
I've noticed the radio stations are playing Christmas songs already. Seems a bit early, I'm sure they usually start on 1 December. I've got my Christmas mug out but that's it until Sunday, don't want to peak too early 🤣
Mentioned to Mr SA that I need a new phone as the IOS isn't updating to the latest version. He said it's not long since I last had a new one - reminded him it was well over 6 years ago! I'm going to get a new one ordered today before the deal I've seen disappears. At least I don't have to stress about having it delivered now.
It's 8 years ago today Mr SA ran me over on his scooter and trashed my ankle.
Today's exercise is dog walking later this morning, bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight.
Trying a recipe from the new PON book for tonight's dinner - yellow split pea curry.
If I get time I need to drop off some more donations to the charity shop so more stuff decluttered. Also the council are picking up the box of sharps left by the hospital at home nurses when they were looking after DD back in May, will be glad to see the back of that.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
We have started early with the Christmas decorations this year.
We bought a lovely German Christmas street scene from the garden centre at the weekend and there didn't seem to be much point putting it away in the Christmas cupboard for a week so we have left it out3 -
Still not ordered a phone, keep dithering about where to buy from and which colour do I prefer 🙄 Will do a proper comparison when I have more time.Bought DGS’s present and managed to get £5 off. Also ordered 2 half price perfume gift sets from MnS, one for DD and one for DIL.Will get DS a litre bottle of Jack D.Already got the cats and dog’s presents.
So just need to get mine and Mr SA’s and that’s me done. Dithering between do I get another bottle of my favourite Coco Mademoiselle for Mr SA to give me or try a different one for a change (usually regret it when I do) 🤔 B00ts have some good offers on at the moment.Decisions decisions 🤣
On a more decisive note, the PON split pea and sweet potato curry was absolutely gorgeous. Definitely would make it again.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
I got my last 2 phones from the Big River site. Been more than happy with them & the price.
