    Morning all, happy Saturday.

Well I’ve had my relaxing hour reading with a coffee time to get a move on.

I’ve got ClubFit in an hour then we’ll take the dog on the park as the ice should’ve been cleared away by the rain. The poor dog is missing her park fix with not being able to brave the very slippery slope down to it. After that I need to drop off another bag of donations at the charity shop and pick up a paper.

Supposed to be going to a Christmas market at a local park with DS and the GKs after lunch. However it’s forecast heavy rain. The market is indoors but Mr SA will be going on his scooter. It’s always an expensive trip to this particular market as Mr SA insists on a coffee and sausage roll then I usually buy DS and family a drink. The cafe prices are extortionate and I don’t rate the quality at all. It’s always super busy too and Mr SA will have to navigate his way through the stalls/crowds on his huge scooter 🫣

I think a lot of the steps yesterday were walking to/from bus stops as I don’t live close to one and work is the other side of town from where I get off the bus. Plus I walked home. Then there’s the endless walking round shops looking for things that are either out of stock or don’t exist.

Today’s exercise will be ClubFit and lots of steps.

Tonight’s dinner is veggie burger and salad. Prosecco and Strictly night too 🥂💃
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • At this time of year if MrSA is in crowds on his scooter, can you stream Christmas music to a small Bluetooth speaker attached to it so people can hear him coming?

We too try to buy one new special bauble each year - although for a lot of years in the flat we didn’t have a tree, as not really enough space, so no baubles were added. We’ve now got Mum and Dad’s old artificial one though which is a beauty, and it was a delight last year getting the baubles out again and remembering when the various ones were bought. Mum also bought us a few new ones last year as a “happy first Christmas in the house” present. I also crocheted some pretty little decorations last year, and may do the same again this year although I’m yet to pick up my hook this winter.

It was like an ice rink here yesterday even after DS salted although the roads were alright.  Today not a sign of it & very wet & miserable.  The solar is barely enough to run a lightbulb.

Home is the best place in weather like this - but at least you all got some fresh air and exercise! I'm foregoing that for now though I might wander into town which isn't far, if I feel a bit stir crazy. I'm glad you all got back up the hill!
