Makingabobor2 said:I have IBS & DH suffers from an IBD. Alcohol is a definite trigger, but also onions are a BIG no no for both of us, as well as too much spicy stuff. Did Mr SA's curry have onions? Or last weeks pizza?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I get reflux and my triggers seem to be chocolate, coffee, wheat, fizzy drinks and aspirin. Thankfully I'm fine with onions and spices. It's a strange thing and triggers vary. Carrying extra weight, wearing something tight like a belt or having constipation can also make it worse. I also find I can get away with my triggers better if they are a small part of a larger meal - so aspirin after breakfast affects me more than after dinner.
I would love to know some of the examples of what not to do or say at interview, though I suspect they may be confidential! I always imagined interviewing would be interesting but so far no one's let me loose on it.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

The final candidate was a no show. We waited online for 20 minutes but not a peep. At least I got to finish work earlier than anticipated. The snow started to thaw rapidly but I expect the remaining slush will freeze overnight. I should be going into the office tomorrow but if it’s icy underfoot I don’t plan to risk slipping.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Morning all.
Made it into the office this morning. Slipped a couple of times on my road as the thawed snow had frozen solid. However once I started walking towards the city centre the pavements improved. Probably should've caught the bus but I'm here now. Going to stay until lunchtime then finish up at home.
Should be a NSD as I don't plan to go into Lid! on the way home.
Today's exercise is walking to/from work and ClubFit at 6pm. Tonight's dinner is tofu with noodles and stir fried veg.

Be careful on the ice. 👍January spends - £587.582

The pavements were a lot better on the walk home. It's been beautiful and sunny all day so a lot of the remaining ice has melted. Our road still isn't great and Mr SA couldn't get on the park this morning as the path down to it was treacherous.
In money saving news I've finally got around to haggling down the cost of VM and have managed to shave £31 a month off in one reasonably short phone call. Must make a note to haggle again after the 18 months is up as it doubles in price from month 19 onwards.

Well done on the haggle. Mr F did this too & it was a decent saving. I've also made a note of the contract expiry date because there's no way we are going to accept that big jump after 18 months either.

There are times when I really miss the old RRP days & that was what everyone paid

I just realised it’s now £3 a month less than what it was before they put the price up when the contract expired. It was £57 then went up to £85 and it’s now £54. If it was left to me I’d just have broadband because I don’t watch much TV at all and when I do it’s usually freeview channels. However Mr SA watches a lot of the VM channels.Going to sort out a new phone tomorrow. I’ve seen a deal I like the look of.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
