I'm sorry you have to live your life stressing about things like this. You're an absolute superstar and don't you forget it.
Definitely get the new phone. Are there any stores for your network near work or near a friends you're planning on seeing? If he's likely to notice a new phone, could you say you did a swap with someone at work as they have different functions? Like it being easier on this phone to get alerts/order his beer? I hate lying but if you need to placate him to keep money in your pocket, that he's living off, then needs must.
You can always tell Mr SA he's welcome to wear one of the handbags if he wants a borrow, because you're not tight unlike some people with their tape measures 😁4 -

Thank you all. I did remind him @Baileys_Babe
We’re not allowed personal mail/deliveries at work @Makingabobor2 so not an option.I think the Lid! 50% off vouchers may have been a random thing like you hear of some people who’ve had £5 off vouchers. I spend around £120 a month with them, depending on what offers they have on.DS has had a free trial of a genealogy website and has shared a photo of my grandad as a young man, sadly he passed away when I was 2 so I don’t really remember him. I can’t get over how much he looks like DD in this photo the resemblance is uncanny! In plant news the poinsettia I’ve miraculously been able to keep alive for a whole year has started to produce flowers 🥳 It’s obviously very happy in the living room window with me forgetting to water it.
In money news I’m still over £700 in credit with 🐙 but the bill was slightly more than the direct debit amount so it will start to come down now. This is why I haven’t asked for a refund. In washer dryer news I need to be careful what I dry as one of my nighties has lost a good 2-3 inches in length 😬 I’ve only used the dryer function 4/5 times since I got it, it dries things brilliantly but probably best to stick to drying towels and bedding to be on the safe side.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

Glad it's doing a good job with the general drying though, such a relief when a new appliance actually makes life easier3 -
It's amazing how family likeness comes up, seemingly randomly. It isn't always that children look like their parents - my daughter could be taken for my husband's sister's child, but there's a photo of my husband's grandfather that could be our younger son. Interests and skills too: my older son has the DIY gene from his grandfathers, my daughter has the athletics gene from a couple of generations ago. It bypassed us.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That’s another weekend almost gone in a flash ☹️
Most of the day revolved around going to The R@nge. It’s a good distance from where we live but walkable. I wanted to try and get the few bits I need to finish off the refurb. So frustrating I know what I’m looking for but it doesn’t appear to exist. Got a fair few bits anyway. We took the dog as they’re allowed in there, she was good as gold, bless her. It was extremely busy. Stopped off at Lid! on the way back as I wanted to get of the the huge candles they have on offer. Absolute bargain picked up - Greenalls Blood Orange and Fig gin £12.99 for a litre!! That’s almost duty free prices. I had to test a tiny bit and can confirm it takes very nice indeed, can recommend 👍 Might stop off on the way home from work tomorrow and pick another one up for that price.Don’t ask about last night 😞 Mr SA had yet another upset tummy episode. He was showering at 10pm and I was scrubbing the hall carpet again 🙁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
You definitely deserve that gin!2

I honestly don't know how you cope SA. Unless it's the gin?
I do, however, know what you mean about knowing exactly what you are looking for but it not existing. I've been looking for shelves for my bathroom for ages.2 -
So sorry to hear you have had to scrub again. I dont know how you cope.Enjoy the gin you earn it.
I am probably being overly suspicious but could it be connected with a lack of holdall and you having new handbags.
