Would love a lid! or ald! near to me, if I want to go to either it’s a 20 min car journey at least. Do know that both want to open in my area but can’t find anywhere to open, I live semi rural, it’s seems ok to build new estates but not shopping. Sorry to hear you had another stressful night thanks to mr SA.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.002

The gin sounds wonderful, and I'm not even a gin drinker.
Perhaps Mr SA has some sort of tummy bug? Twice in close succession just makes me wonder. I hope that's the last of it.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all, happy Monday. Can't believe it's back to Monday again already!
In the office today, got 2 interviews to do, one this morning and one at lunchtime, then I think I'll finish for the day. They are quite tiring as you have to concentrate and also make notes.
I'm going to call into Lid! for another bottle of that gin on the way home, can't beat it at £12.99 for a litre! I recall they did a similar offer last year.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

I don't expect the beers are helping Mr SA's stomach. I looked up IBS/beer which was an interesting read, but I think you will already know all that. How frustrating for you, when you have an awareness of how much he can tolerate and he goes over the limit.
I hope the interviews are productive and you can enjoy your early finish!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Yes - the beer is likely to be a factor although in this instance I wonder about the curry and the beer combining to be just one thing too much, if you know what I mean? Thank goodness for the gin sitting waiting for you though - very much needed I would imagine! Is it possible to put just the beers he has the capacity for in one evening in the fridge, leaving the others somewhere else and topping up the fridge when appropriate?
On the replacement of your phone, remember if you use it for banking apps and similar it's important that it gets security updates via iOs updating, so if that isn't, that's a very good reason to replace!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I have IBS & DH suffers from an IBD. Alcohol is a definite trigger, but also onions are a BIG no no for both of us, as well as too much spicy stuff. Did Mr SA's curry have onions? Or last weeks pizza?Making the debt go down and savings go up

Morning all.
We had a good dollop of snow here overnight. We don't always get it here but we certainly haven't missed out this time! The young cat hasn't seen snow before and it was so funny how she reacted to it, prodding it with her paw and jumping in the air 😆
Did Monday's finance check this morning, have cleared off the cc balance and sent an oddment of £2 to the Christmas pot. DD paid her board on Friday so that has gone to the holiday pot.
Mr M delivery arrived at 6am so that's all been put away. I was struggling to open my drive gates for them as the snow had banked up behind it. The driver said the main roads were pretty clear, I just hope she doesn't have any deliveries on the hills round here!
It's the final interview today thank goodness, although I've quite enjoyed doing them, they're just very intense and time consuming. I've certainly picked up some tips on what not to do/say in an interview.
Today's exercise will be bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight. I don't know if we'll be able to get Mr SA's scooter out to take the dog on the park as the snow is really deep in our drive. The dog won't go out without Mr SA, which is really annoying. I think the scooter is her comfort zone.
Making fish pie with cauliflower mash for tonight's dinner. I also need to make a batch of soup for work lunches as I didn't get around to it on Sunday.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
