My Dh is the same at filling the freezer when I try to defrost it……infuriates me 🤨 he usually does it when he sees a bargain though 👍so it’s not all badJanuary spends - £587.583

That’s Wednesday done. Have been in the office all day today with back to back meetings and interviews. Thankfully the 4pm interviewee withdrew so got to go home at a reasonable time while it was relatively light. Not a NSD as bought my rail tickets for Friday’s day out with friends and stopped at Lid! on the way home. Picked up my free fruit item (grapes) so grand total of £2.45 to pay.Today’s exercise was walking to/from work and ClubFit at 6pm.Tonight’s dinner was the final portion of the butternut squash stew I made on Sunday (no room in the freezer for it). Added a couple of veggie sausages to it to make it a bit different.Unbelievably the boiler started playing up earlier but I managed to fix it by randomly pressing buttons and re-pressuring it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Morning all, nearly Friday 😁
WFH today. I have the joys of a dental check up followed by the hygienist this morning 😬 Will be glad when that's done.
Did a quick check of finances this morning, paid off the cc balance and sent £6.40 to the Christmas pot. I will shortly close off the Christmas pot and start next year's. I don't really have a lot of stuff to buy for Christmas so I'm in no rush to make a start. The GKs are getting harder to buy for now and DD always wants 'nothing really' We don't buy much extra food either as we only host DS and the GKs on Christmas Eve and that's just a buffet. However we have some nice events to look forward to over the Christmas period such as the panto, the musical and a few Christmas markets. I'm thinking of getting Mr SA a toolkit.
I need to have a good catching up with admin day work wise with hopefully no IT issues.
Today's exercise will be walking to/from the dentists, a lunchtime interval training session and a strength training session at 5.30. I'm really missing Zumba at the moment, the instructor won't be back for another couple of weeks.
Tonight's dinner was going to be miso tofu aubergine. I thought I had a portion of tofu in the freezer but can't find it so may have to improvise unless I can pick some up at the local shops when I go to the dentist.

I could scream with frustration 😖 Mr SA is constantly hankering after getting a holdall to take on holiday instead of a suitcase and time after time I've told him they're too awkward for me to handle along with my case. Explained to him it's me who has to handle both cases so wheeled solid cases are easier for me. So what has he just come back from the charity shop with - yes a blooming holdall!! He insisted it was better than his suitcase and I argued that it wasn't, it's not him who's handling the cases.
Anyway, he's taken it back to the charity shop now after much arguing, hopefully he'll get a refund.
I was so angry my FitBit told me I was burning zone minutes!
Aargh!!!
On a lighter note the dental appointments were fine and much quicker than anticipated. Everything is ok.
Plus I managed to pick up some tofu from the local shops so the tofu aubergine miso is back on the menu.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
@Sun_Addict - Oh dear, that must have been frustrating. Probably more to do with Mr SA liking to buy things than this bag solving any need. I think that the suitcase handler in the relationship should defo be the decision maker on any luggage-related acquisitions.

Well done on getting him to return it. Great that the dentists was all okay
Just saw lils have 10% off their hortus gins and thought of you..2 -
Maddening. If there's a next time (!!!), perhaps that could be for 'his' packing, so you get the freedom of the suitcases without him undoing your good work? You could then do a Cherryfudge special and arrive at the destination having 'accidentally' left it on the spare bed (though that did cost me in terms of emergency replacements).

He got a refund thankfully although he returned raving about a coat he'd seen - too small for him but that's never stopped him in the past!
