Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today, the Mr M delivery has been and all packed away. Enjoyed a relaxing start to the day with my book and a coffee.
Really need to catch up with work admin today. No interviews until 4pm but I do have a couple of meetings later. These interviews have been so time consuming!
I received my award and certificate yesterday. These will take pride of place in my home office.
Finances have been checked and there was an overall £129.29 underspend over the 4 week period. £9.29 has gone to the Christmas pot, £40.00 to entertainment, £40.00 to personal spends and £40.00 to the house pot.
The Groceries pot was overspent but I've been stocking up while Mr SA's beer is on offer and wine is on 25% off for 6 bottles so have bought a lot more than I usually would. Once the offers end, I shouldn't need to buy beer/wine for quite some time.
I phoned an electrician yesterday and left a message to call back re the light. If he doesn't get back by lunchtime I'll try someone else. Interestingly it's 11 years since the bathroom light switch last went (thanks FB memories).
Today's exercise is dog walking later this morning, bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is leftover butternut squash stew from Sunday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

I love portioning out the monthly surplus in the account once everything is accounting for. I know some folk see that as not budgeting properly, because I should have allocated that money to savings or whatever from the start, but I like to know that cushion is there without needing to "find" it from elsewhere if something unexpected comes along. (In other words, it saves me having to dip in to the EF which I loathe doing!)🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Talk about the best laid plans...
Major national IT outage at my organisation meant I couldn't catch up with any of the admin jobs on my list 😞
It appears to be fixed now fingers crossed.
Had to reorganise the small freezer at lunchtime as DD had put something in there which meant the door wasn't closing properly and it was full of frost! I wish she'd stop filling up the freezers. I'll never get the small freezer defrosted at this rate.

My DS does the same with the fridge. I keep telling him he needs glasses but he doesn't he just needs to pay attention.

Yes she does @Baileys_Babe, but she sees it’s still pretty full and thinks one little thing won’t hurt. I’m trying to gradually get the contents of the small freezer into the main one so I can defrost it but I never will while she’s filling any gap that appears. The bathroom light is fixed 🥳 He’s coming back on Friday to fix the extractor fan.Hopefully that’s it for electrics/plumbing issues for some time.Next job is to get the carpet cleaned.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
