I'm glad your DS was able to do the shelves for you - and Mr SA didn't try.

Here's hoping the soreness wears off quickly.

  • Ouch to your soreness SA - I went flying when I was out the other week too - put my foot down somewhere I assumed was solid and it just went solid - landed half on a muddy area and half on the kerb, but thankfully softly enough that the only thing bruised was one knee and my pride!

From past experience when the cord won’t pull it is either that it has jammed in the switch at the top, or that the switch mechanism itself has failed. If the former then unscrewing the switch housing may release it - if the latter though it may be an electrician job.

Annoying to have areas that need touching up on newly painted walls already.

I hate those pull cords in bathrooms.  They get pulled so often & are not really up to the job.  I have 2 & no longer bother to switch them off.  The shower one cost almost as much as the whole shower to replace.  When I am rich I will have them done by switches outside the room, because those pull cords are a total pain.  Why with all the new inventions has someone not come up with a better idea.

Oh no, what a shame about all the cleaning up. As you say, not how one wants to spend the morning. You did tackle it quickly though so a professional cleaner will have more chance of getting the stains out.

I hope everyone steers clear of the new paint.

    Morning all, happy Monday.

Working in the office today, just snatching a quick break between interviews.

Start of the new 4 week budget period today, there will be an overall underspend on the last budget period, need to do a finance check later.

This week's free coffee has been picked up and enjoyed.

Today's exercise is walking to/from work and a short yoga session later.

Tonight's dinner is scampi with swede 'chips' and steamed veg.

It won't be a NSD as I need to stop off at Lid! on the way home. I noticed I've got some 50% off coupons in the app.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Pleased you were relatively unscathed after your fall. It sounds as if you got away very lightly.
Oh no to having to clean up the mess. It’s worth getting it cleaned professionally. Just what you didn’t need.
    I can’t remember whether or not I congratulated you on the award…..if I didn’t. Well done 👏👏👏👏
