Waste of time going to the trade paint place as they only stock builders colours like white and magnolia. Must have to order the colourful ones. Will look online. The builder is arriving around 9am tomorrow. And so it begins…I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

You already have endless patience dealing with Mr SA, so you should cope far better than I do. Good luck...2

I'm really pleased for you that you are getting your latest house refurbs done. I think you will really enjoy your own office space. You'll need a Do Not Disturb sign for the door to stop MrSA shuffling in.2

Have you tried Dun@lm SA? Folk absolutely rave over their paint. I fully concur - pigments are strong and colours beautiful. And they deliver too!Lancashire

Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today. Probably the last day working from the dining room as plan to move my desk tonight. Just got a few more bits to clear up. The CS are coming to pick the weights up at some point today.
I've got loads of flexi and nothing in my calendar after 11 so I'm going to take a long lunch break and go on the bus to the retail park to pick up the paint. It's confusing me looking at it online, I need to see it properly. I'm asking the painter to supply the ceiling and woodwork paint and I'll buy the wall colours. I'm really tired this morning as I woke up at 2.30 thinking about paint and didn't really drop back to sleep properly after that.
Mr M delivery has been and all packed away.
It seemed to work well combining the food/beer/wine/household budgets so will continue with that for the next 4 weeks. It certainly saves time me going through every receipt classifying everything.
I plan to open a new NW regular saver today. It matured last week so should be able to open another one by now. As the other regular saver destined for the refurb works hasn't matured yet I'm going to lend myself some of the money from the emergency fund. The NW RS covers a good portion of the cost but not all of it. I wasn't expecting the builder to be able to fit us in so quickly.

The builder is here. He'll have finished the wardrobes/desk by Wednesday so have messaged the painter to tell him he can start work from Thursday onwards. I'm going to do a 6 hour day, finishing around lunchtime then catch the bus to the retail park. It's driving Mr SA nuts that I'm going to be let loose in B&Q without him 😆
I've opened up a new NW regular saver and fed it with its first £200.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Isn’t B&Q a men-only venue then? 😂3
