So sorry to her about your DiL. One of the hardest things about any serious chronic illness is learning and accepting that your life has changed forever. I still struggle with that from time to time. Its been about 5 years now for me and I am much older than your DiL
I hope she feels a bit better soon.
    This is so me.

Don’t blame you staying in. It has snowed lightly for 2 days here and thankfully nothing has stuck…..it’s beautifully sunshiny now so I think the danger has passed. I saw lots of cars with deep snow on this morning and the hills in the distance looked so picturesque  - white against the blue sky. Love looking at it but won’t go out in it 😱
Poor Mr SA and poor curtains - hope they get sorted soon.

It wasn't snowing at around 2am when I looked out. We had loads of snow by 7am morning, but it's all gone now.

Glad to hear DiL is home. Drat to DH bringing the curtains down on himself.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Glad to hear DIL is home now. Thank goodness for WFH when the weather is dire. Hope the curtain pole is an easy fix. Can't wait for some sun , I go two days after you .

Smart to stay in today SA - I remember my 1st winter on A&E decades ago and we had 97x slip on ice casualties over course of 24 hours in our small town hospital during one cold snap.

It ain’t worth the risk especially when it’s gone by midday in the sun. 😎
