ladyholly said:So sorry to her about your DiL. One of the hardest things about any serious chronic illness is learning and accepting that your life has changed forever. I still struggle with that from time to time. Its been about 5 years now for me and I am much older than your DiLI hope she feels a bit better soon.
Scunnered with it all.

Morning, happy Friday.
DIL came out of hospital yesterday.
I decided to WFH today. The snow is really deep here and still falling. We live on a flat road but it's at the top of lots of hills so the only way is down. I really didn't want to risk falling as it's quite scary getting down the hills when the weather's like this.
Mr SA had a fall in the night. He was looking out of the window at the snow, lost his balance and grabbed hold of the bedroom curtains bringing them and the pole crashing down! So that's a repair job to do today. Luckily the bedroom curtains are only voile panels so very light.
It will be an unplanned NSD3 as I was hoping to pop into Lid! on the way home from work. We can manage until tomorrow.
I'm setting myself a target of a minimum 10,000 steps today but it will all be indoor walking. No plans to go out in this and the dog isn't interested.
DD has paid her board money so I've sent that to the holiday pot. Also sent £2 to the Christmas pot and 2 days worth of payments to the 1p savings pot. £100 has been sent to the Cov RS.
Tonight's dinner is stir fry.

Don’t blame you staying in. It has snowed lightly for 2 days here and thankfully nothing has stuck…..it’s beautifully sunshiny now so I think the danger has passed. I saw lots of cars with deep snow on this morning and the hills in the distance looked so picturesque - white against the blue sky. Love looking at it but won’t go out in it 😱
Poor Mr SA and poor curtains - hope they get sorted soon.January spends - £587.583 -
It wasn't snowing at around 2am when I looked out. We had loads of snow by 7am morning, but it's all gone now.
Glad to hear DiL is home. Drat to DH bringing the curtains down on himself.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?2 -
Glad to hear DIL is home now. Thank goodness for WFH when the weather is dire. Hope the curtain pole is an easy fix. Can't wait for some sun , I go two days after you .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

Smart to stay in today SA - I remember my 1st winter on A&E decades ago and we had 97x slip on ice casualties over course of 24 hours in our small town hospital during one cold snap.It ain’t worth the risk especially when it’s gone by midday in the sun. 😎Lancashire
