Wow, that's a huge amount of energy account credit! We are on over £300 but way short of the £600+ with which we went into the 2 previous winters. Our monthly DD was cut back by a lot for a few months, which evened things out. I've just slightly increased it, having looked at the monthly payment calculator tool thingy on the Cephalopods' website, & am keeping an eye on it.

Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today and so nice to have time to read and drink coffee at a leisurely pace before starting the day.
I've booked Friday off as the skip is coming and I need to make a start on clearing the dining room ready for next week's refurb work. Not looking forward to all the mess and upheaval but it will be worth it once it's done as always. Mr SA isn't going to like his routine upset but he'll have to put up with it.
The Mr M delivery has been and all packed away. Only a small order this week as have plenty of stocks in. Trying to keep grocery spends down in the final week of my budget period.
The flooring man came round to apologise about not turning up at 2pm as arranged. His car broke down this morning and it's still in the garage along with his sample books. All being well he will be here around 5-ish to measure up. Still waiting to hear from the painter with a price.
Today's exercise plan is dog walking later this morning, bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is chickpea, red pepper and tomato pasta, trying a new recipe from The Green Cookbook. All ingredients are things I already have in stock.

Just catching up with people's diaries.
That is a massive amount of credit on your energy account, but I do seem to remember that your monthly direct debit is quite high as you use a lot in the winter?
We are about 3 months in credit which usually works out about alright for us.1 -
We are similar / bit less energy credit than you SYA - we use it as a buffer over the winter months and anything left over come May is credited back to us. Just prevents any shocks in case of very cold winter or further energy cost rises come JanuaryLancashire

It's all go. The painter is coming again tomorrow and I've booked in the BG electrician to fix the living room/under stairs cupboard lights on Friday. He came earlier in the year and said he needs to get the floorboards in DD's room up so to book back in when the refurb work starts. Hopefully the flooring bloke will appear later to measure up. I'll be glad when it's done and it hasn't started yet!
The garden waste bin was emptied this morning and Mr SA has filled it back up again with the remainder of the branches I couldn't fit in on Sunday. He moaned like mad about doing it though even though I 'sold' the task to him as a 'man's job' 🤣

That's Wednesday done and the last day in the office for this week.
The flooring man is doing the quote tonight, his car was still in for repair yesterday but he's definitely got it back now. Also the painter should be here shortly.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home, only spent £5 though. Remembered to activate the free sweet bakery item coupon before it expires so Mr SA will have another muffin to eat. Picked up another 2 jars of chickpeas while they're on 2 for 99p.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's Zumba at 6pm.
Tonight's dinner is veggie chilli from freezer stocks with baked sweet potato and salad.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
