Wow, that's a huge amount of energy account credit! We are on over £300 but way short of the £600+ with which we went into the 2 previous winters. Our monthly DD was cut back by a lot for a few months, which evened things out. I've just slightly increased it, having looked at the monthly payment calculator tool thingy on the Cephalopods' website, & am keeping an eye on it.

Just catching up with people's diaries.

That is a massive amount of credit on your energy account, but I do seem to remember that your monthly direct debit is quite high as you use a lot in the winter?

We are about 3 months in credit which usually works out about alright for us.

We are similar / bit less energy credit than you SYA - we use it as a buffer over the winter months and anything left over come May is credited back to us. Just prevents any shocks in case of very cold winter or further energy cost rises come January
