Glad DD is on a proper ward and being taken care of.
Maybe get the painter to email or whats*pp you the quote breakdown so 'a new drill and a bottle of gin' don't end up on there!

Just a quickie as still on the train and the signal keeps dipping out. Unfortunately didn’t win, far too much good competition but it was a nice event and got to speak to some top bosses who were lovely in real life. Did a bit of sightseeing including Buckingham Palace as the awards were close by. London was just packed to the rafters with tourists, could hardly move!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Sorry to hear you didnt win but getting to the final is a huge achievement in itself. My dd and sil went to the theatre earlier this year and said the same about the number of tourists.

Glad you had a good day, and what an achievement to be nominated- especially with all the behind the scenes stresses and strains you cope with daily on top of clearly being excellent at your work1
