I'm sure you'd hear eventually if they had concerns, but in the meantime you're seeing him every day and you'd know if something had changed. I'm so pleased he and your DD have come so far from where they were not so very long ago.

Morning all, happy Friday eve 😎
WFH again today.
Another busy day ahead with the older cat at the V.E.T this morning for her annual booster and check up. When I took her a few weeks ago for the flea and worm check she'd lost weight from the last time they weighed her so they will also check her weight has stabilised. If not there will be the added cost of blood tests. She eats more than the dog (and often eats the dog's food as well as her own) so I think the weight loss occurred when we were on holiday and she wasn't getting fed as much, as the last appointment was shortly after we got back home.
So lots of steps will be done again today as we're taking her on Mr SA's scooter. I'm very thankful for working flexi time and WFH as this allows me to fit in appointments around my working day.
Tonight's dinner is *new recipe alert* Vegan Rasta Pasta from the Good Food magazine. The original recipe is quite high in calories so will use a lot less pasta than it suggests and fat free coconut milk alternative instead of normal coconut milk. I don't think I've got jerk marinade so will use jerk seasoning instead. I always adapt recipes to suit, rarely follow them to the letter.
Today's exercise is walking to/from the vets, a lunchtime body conditioning session and Zumba at 5.30.
I don't think I'll have a lot of spare time to get much done in the way of household tasks and gardening but if I can run round the house with the vacuum and duster that will suffice for today.
Money wise it won't be a NSD as I'm going to pop into the biggish Mr T on the way back from the vets with the soft plastic recycling and I need to pick up some bread rolls. There is also the possibility of blood tests for the cat. The vaccination and check up is covered by the vet plan.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

The cat passed her check up, still the same weight so need to keep an eye on any signs she might be losing weight or changes in her. She's 14 now and the vet said older cats are prone to kidney and thyroid problems, although she isn't showing any signs at the moment other than weight loss.
Found a pair of sunglasses I really liked in Mr T so that's saved me hunting for some tomorrow after work. I also bought the new PON Air Fryer cookbook after first checking it had plenty of things I would make (it has). 50p cheaper than Am@zon too! So I didn't just go in for bread rolls after all 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Our cat had thyroid problems when she was about 12. Cost a fortune in vets bills and medication. she lost so much weight in the end.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Mr N had kidney problems from about 16. How I miss his wee face. My cat lost loads of weight as she got older, but all her tests came back clear over the years - even the last set before she was pts."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1

It’s so sad the things that go wrong with our furry friends as they get older. It’s such a shame they’re not with us for anywhere near as long as we’d like them to be. My old boy cat lived to be 21 which is very good for a cat but extremely young for a human. The Rasta pasta was lovely, very different and so tasty. I can’t find the recipe online or I’d share it. There are several variations on it online though.DD has really got into healthy eating since her recent ordeal and has recreated a veggie pasta dish she enjoyed in hospital. I guess not many people recreate a meal they’ve had in hospital 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)11

I have certainly never ever recreated anything I was ever given in hospital. DD's healthy eating is a silver lining - can she feel any benefit yet?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
