Morning all.
Mr SA's x-ray appointment this morning. This is just to check his lungs are clear after the pneumonia. He's going on his scooter and I'm walking as I want to stop off at a little builder's merchants on the way back to order some gravel for the garden.
There will be a lot of steps done today as it's an hour's walk each way to the hospital and I'm doing Zumba at 6pm.
Working around the appointment, will do a couple of hours this morning then log back on when I get back get home.
Money wise it's that quiet time at the end of the 4 week budget period and also payday next week. Did a couple of surveys this morning.
Tonight's dinner is stir fry. Got loads of sugar snap peas and mangetout from the garden, they're growing faster than I can pick them and there's only me likes them.
I doubt whether I'll be able to squeeze in a gardening task today. I wouldn't mind cutting the grass if I get chance.
It's so nice to have some decent weather finally. One load of washing out and another one on the go. Hopefully it will last until the weekend, it would be good to get some time in my hanging chair relaxing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Hopefully you can now start your packing for your hols. Fingers crossed that Mr SAs chest is clear , and DD will be ok whilst you are away .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1

Poor DD - she is living with a lot of uncertainty and somewhat contradictory stances by her medical team. Keep her in/send her home etc
I hope your holiday comes off but it must still be a tough call what to do if that aneurism is unstable, even if they don't plan to see her for a while.
Also hope Mr SA's xray is clear - I expect he's more interested in his coffee stops. I think you should get them to xray your feet. They must have some superpowers considering you've had breaks but still walk and walk and walk4 -
It's good to hear that DD is looking better - but as warby says, she must be pretty worried about things, poor thing, she must be almost feeling scared to move after they've made such a thing of the aneurism being unstable!
Fingers crossed for MrSA's X-rays all being good too - but yes, I should think the opportunity for a coffee out will be the main focus for him, no?!
Yes - we're in quiet time bank wise now too - it's good mind, as I try to remind myself, it means everything is ticking along as it should be!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Not been back from the hospital long. I feel like I've been walking for hours, which I have really as we set off at 9.15 and have only just got back. 21,250 steps done with barely a sit down as I went to the loo while they took Mr SA in for his x-ray and he was back out not long afterwards. What a faff it was to find the x-ray department though! Tucked away down long corridors that all looked the same and only signage when we got right on top of it. Took a wrong turning on the way out and got lost. Anyway it's done. He didn't manage to cadge a coffee as we didn't pass a cafe although I had a bit of a battle with him about going to a pub for lunch as I needed to get back to work.
Stopped off on the way home to order 6 bags of decorative stone for the garden. It's only to top up what we already have, I don't know where it's disappeared to!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
That's an impressive lot of steps! Some hospitals need route maps of GPs to navigate too: I got lost in one once but amazingly bumped into my DiL who used to work there and who showed me where the department was.
I hope work goes well this afternoon. When does Mr SA get his results? And what's your feeling about how he is recovering?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Coincidentally I bumped into a ex colleague who now works at the hospital who directed us to the correct part. Most of Mr SA’s results tend to be assume all is well if you don’t hear anything, although I expect he can access them via his NHS app. He seems to be fine chest wise so not expecting anything untoward.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
