Keep us updated about DD - hopefully they will prioritise and she can soon be getting back on track.
Well done with the overall underspend. Not often you hear that!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I usually have an underspend @Cherryfudge, generally around the £100 mark. I've only ever had an overspend a couple of times in the past and that was before I divided the spending up into separate mini pots and just had one pot for all spending. It's the same amount of money just divided up, makes me more conscious of what I'm spending in each category. At the end of the 4 weeks whatever's left over in total goes into whichever sinking funds pot needs it the most.
DD is still waiting for a decision on her aneurism. She's not sure what's happening. I need to take her some fresh PJs and undies in tomorrow after work. I'll take the things to work with me so I can catch a bus straight from there to the hospital which will be a lot quicker than leaving it until another day and going from home.

I decided not to go to the park volunteer group meeting tonight. Instead I got on with some jobs I wanted to do plus ended up doing extra time working as everyone where I work seems to come to life at 3pm and start asking me questions. I start work at 7am most days and am thinking about logging off around 3pm, did 7 until 4.30 today 😐
DD has just phoned to say she might be discharged tonight! She can’t understand it as they were supposed to be deciding what to do about the aneurysm. At least it will save me from going there tomorrow IF she gets discharged - they don’t seem to know what they’re doing. What was the point in them keeping her there all weekend for nothing!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

That seems so strange! The good news is that they don't seem to feel she is better off in hospital. I hope they don't send her out at some ridiculous time though.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That really is annoying with DD.
Hope she gets some conformation one way or another soon.2 -

That's Tuesday almost done. Worked in the office until just after lunch, finishing up at home. The office was really quiet, I always thought Tuesdays were one of the busiest days for working in the office. I suppose leave season has started.
DD got home around 9.30 last night. At least I don't have to traipse to the hospital this afternoon. I've not seen her yet as I was in bed when she got back and have been out until just now.
Sunglasses saga 😞
A couple of weeks ago I had 4 pairs of sunglasses. One old tatty pair, a cheap pair from a Greek tat shop and two decent pairs. The tatty pair broke first, fine with that as they'd had a good innings. I dropped one of the decent pairs and the frame broke. I scoured TK Maxx for a replacement without success then found a spare decent pair in a drawer at home. Wore them to the park on Sunday and the sun went in so I put them in my pocket. Later in the day I couldn't find them anywhere. Yesterday found said pair of sunglasses on the park broken. So I'm now down to the cheap Greek pair that probably aren't great for eye protection. The hunt for a new pair will commence on Friday after work. This is why I'd never spend a lot on sunglasses, far too easily lost or broken.
Anyway...
Today's exercise is walking to/from work and resistance bands at 6.45.
Tonight's dinner is spicy Mexican beanburger from freezer stocks with butternut squash wedges and salad.
Mr M delivery coming later, had to move my usual 6am delivery slot to 6pm with me going into the office this morning.
Cleaning task is the kitchen and will try and get in 30 minutes of gardening if there's time.

2 weeks today we should be in Ibiza 🤞
DD has had a text message to say her next consultant’s appointment is in August which she thinks (hopes) is the start of another attempt at the gallbladder removal. Hopefully this means nothing is happening between now and then. She’s fine in herself and looks and feels loads better than she did a couple of weeks or so ago.Next step is Mr SA’s X-ray tomorrow, hopefully that’s going to be clear. So many hurdles.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
That is a lot of hurdles... (((hugs))). All the best to Mr SA for tomorrow: in 24 hours that will be behind you and Ibiza will be closer.
The sunglasses saga... are they related to lemmings or something? That's a lot to get through in a short time, but also an excuse to get some nice ones that you'll feel good in and that will protect your eyes.
And it's lovely the your DD is looking so much better! They can't feel it's urgent to sort the gall bladder out, and someone must have decided the aneurysm isn't too alarming. She timed her release from hospital well for the better weather, too.
