This is where the hard work begins! I didn't realise Mr SA had been sent home without an incontinence pad last night (although he may have removed it) so just had to completely strip the bed ☹
DD said she arrived home at 11.30 last night.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Oh my word. You'd have thought they might have sent some sort of discharge notes to tell you these things.

You've had a real, hard week haven't you SA!☹️. I'm sorry to hear you've had to start your day changing the bed clothes!
I agree with others about the stair lift - time enough for something like that when it's really needed.I hope things settle down now all the wounded soldiers are back in their barracks!

What a tough time you are having I’m pleased your DD is back home but you really need some help I would have been tempted to ring the SIL to come over and give you a hand to change the bed try and take some time off your brain must be about frazzled now1

Glad to hear you have everyone home.
Time to get into some sort of "normal" routine again.1 -
Oh what a start to the day, @Sun_Addict. I hope Mr SA will rectify the lack of pad for future nights, or that is going to make you a lot of extra work. Glad to hear both poorly soldiers are back home though. I think it will feel like swings & roundabouts for the next few days......things to cope with at home, but not having to walk/bus to different hospitals visiting people. I do hope things start to return to normal, although I know that 'normal' also has its challenges for you. I do hope that the physio work done to facilitate Mr SA's homecoming can be continues in some form. I think you make a good point about the mobility scooter. Once we are into our 50s (& beyond), it's 'Use-it-or-lose-it' time in terms of mobility & so even scooter-users who can get up out of them & walk, probably start to lose quite a bit of muscle strength in their legs. I know nothing about physio, but just thinking logically, stronger leg muscles ought to help with supporting a person, rather than giving way & causing a fall?
Hope something positive can come out of what has been a very stressful time for you.

We managed to take the dog on the park this morning. She enjoyed her run and Mr SA enjoyed the fresh air.DD has only been out of her room to use the bathroom she’s been very quiet. Exhausted I expect after getting home so late.Mr SA went back to bed after his lunch and is still there fast asleep. I need to put clean bedding on at some stage but don’t want to disturb him.Trying a new recipe tonight spinach, ginger and coconut dhal. I hate not having a meal plan but I’m not firing on all cylinders at the moment. I needed to use up the last of the coconut Alpro and I have plenty of lentils so it seemed apt.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

DD’s nurse arrived so she eventually emerged. She said she’s still in a lot of pain and reckons she’ll be back in hospital in a few days. She does look poorly though 🙁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

People are adjusting back to normal.
It's bound to have been exhausting for everyone, so expect a few days of odd sleep patterns and things settling down. I imagine the dog liked being back at the park, and it must have been lovely for Mr SA to get out and about after being in a hospital bed for some time.
The recipe looks my sort of thing. I've copied it down to try when we get back.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
