It's great they are bringing him home. Saves you having to pick him up.
It would be great if as a result of his admission, you got some supportIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

What a time you’ve had. Glad someone else has noticed how hard life is and are putting something in place to help….even if it’s only minimal. Hopefully it’ll have made Mr SA realise how lucky he is at home with you……although I suspect he’ll quickly forget his time in hospital and soon fall back to his old ways.I’m pleased Dd is on the mend, it’s so worrying for everyone.Hang on in there- you’re doing an amazing job juggling everything. But remember to put your name on care you juggle and give yourself as much self care as you can…..even if it means taking time out of work and taking a walk out for a coffee.January spends - £587.583

In our area the fire brigade were recently trained to lift patients stuck on the floor to free up ambulance time & to get people up quicker. I think the first thing they do is an assessment to confirm there are no actual injuries:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j4

In our area we have outreach Council funded who come out 24/7 if a fall occurs. I don't think all areas do it and some councils mean test in. We got ours through memory clinic and occupational therapist.
If they don't know about it suggests it doesnt exist in your area x3 -
We have a company, provided free by the Council until last year but it now has to be paid for. Not sure if there is a means test. Its only £22 pm. I say only as mum used it 5 times in her first month home. Its the usual pendant/bracelet arrangement for emergencies with a loud box attached to phone line so they can hear what's going on. Its to get help of any sort but primarily its a falls lifting service. As long as the patient is not injured they come out and do the lift, with equipment. Wait time has only been 15-40 minutes so far. If they think an amubulance is necessary they'll call it. It would be perfect for you and Mr SA. It wouldn't apply to you but they also contact me to let me know what's happening.

He's driving me nuts and he's not back yet. He's phoned me twice to tell me he hasn't got his house keys with him! Twice I've told him I'm at home he doesn't need them. I took a long lunch break just to take some time out because I couldn't concentrate with the phone calls from either him or the hospital.
I took a walk to the CS but the storage baskets have gone. I've freed up a couple of mine and will replace them at the weekend. Finished tidying DD's room as much as I could which is just as well as she might be coming home today too. She's is being discharged with a daily nurse visit to check her blood count and blood pressure. She will have to go back at some stage to have her gall bladder removed.
A woman stopped me in the street to ask me how many steps I do a day because she's seen me walking all over. A while back a cyclist stopped and asked me the same thing. I'm probably known locally as that woman who walks miles as well as the woman who keeps the park free of litter 😆
A work colleague who lives in the same county as me told me that when her mum was terminally ill at home they had a number they could call if she fell and they would get her back up. I told the OT about this and she said she'd do some digging to see if this was available for Mr SA. I would be more than happy to pay for a falls service.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)12 -
I'm so sorry he's calling a lot. I'm not surprised you needed some time out.
I've just had my gall bladder removed, which is what I'm recovering from. I'm sure DD will be fine with it.
Hope you get some peace before he comes home.September 2017 Debt = £25330
