I hope the inflammation or whatever it is settles down and your daughter can get on with getting better. How miserable for her. Also well done to Mr SA for accepting you aren't due in till tomorrow. I hope the buses behave themselves and you have an easy journey,I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning everyone, thank you for your support.
I saw some storage baskets in a local CS yesterday I wish I’d picked up so going to see if they’re still there this morning. They will be useful for tidying up DD’s room. All it really needs apart from clearing and cleaning is painting, new flooring and a wardrobe. I can’t believe she’s let it get in such a state. I’m aiming to wipe down the walls and clear the top of her drawers today so if she comes home at least it’s clean and a lot tidier.I plan to walk to the hospital and back as I’d like to stop off at a local garden centre on the way back was they’re selling plants for £1 this weekend. I promised Mr SA I’d pick him up a decent coffee as he’s not enjoying the hospital ones. It’s a pleasant walk and I’ve found a quicker route so it takes less than an hour each way. When I get back home I’m going to concentrate on the garden. The new fencing and gates need staining but not a job for today. Can anyone recommend a good wood stain that actually lasts? I stained the rest of the fence last summer but it needs doing again already. It wasn’t a cheap one either.I’ve done my Spanish learning and gained 3 days free Super Duolingo. I’m on a 1348 day streak.I’m loving the new cordless vacuum it’s brilliant and so quick to pick up and go. It’s got excellent suction too, better than the corded one.Need to think about what to have for tonight’s dinner.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
That’s a lovely positive post SA. I hope you have a good day and fit in all that you’ve planned. I have no advice on fence paint, sorry. Ours are mostly post and wire between. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Let's hope the storage baskets are still available!
Great to have a garden centre selling plants at £1. Lucky you! I imagine your garden is lovely.
Would Mr SA like some of those sachets of coffee? Not quite like getting a C0sta, but better than institutional coffees.
Well done on the free Super Duo.I'm on 1,160 days and hoping for another freebie from them, but for today it will be mostly about keeping in the same league. The competition seems to have calmed down so perhaps a lot of people are abroad practising their languages in real life?

Hi SA - as far as outdoor paint goes - I’ve found you get what you pay for unfortunately.Last year I painted some of our fences in Cupr!nol which I got from W!lkos in their closing down sale - but ran out and because it’s such a costly brand I got a similar colour from R@nseal to finish the last couple of fence panels. One year later and the R@nseal has virtually disappeared from the fences - astonishing it didn’t even last a year. The Cupr!nol looks freshly painted.Lancashire

I refuse to go in DSs room. It looks like a harem with sheet type things hanging from the ceiling seperating a quite small room up. I'd be claustrophobic. He seems to find them protective.

Hope you have some good news on both patients today. Enjoy your day off visiting.2
