I wonder why it is that hospitals seem to take info from the ones that don't know & ignore the ones that do.

So glad to hear Mr SA is improving and enjoying the hospital food. Makes such a difference if you are by a window in hospital, just so you know there is still a world outside.
Good that DD is ok now as well.
SIL sounds like she has no concept of Mr SA's day to day life. I'm surprised the hospital would take take info from her anyway, not being his next of kin.
Is there a Nero's near by where you can get your coffees? I must admit I do love a Nero's, but we don't have a local one. I would either have to go to a town about 7 miles away or into the city, where there are 2, but that is about 10 or 11 miles. Greggs has improved a lot these days though... we have decaff and it used to be horrible coffee bags a few years ago.
I must look into free magazines and coffees etc. I have the 2 coffees a month from garden centre, but that's it really.
Hope you can have a good weekend and get some rest.

Glad to hear that both patients are improving. That does all sound more positive, doesn't it? And good too that Mr SA has accepted he needs to wait until he is safe to come home. Not so good on the interfering in-law, but all you can do in these cases is be assertive, which it sounds as though you have done.

Good news on both patients, and some nice free reading material, and the cat letting you have a go on the garden chair! That's great money saving and exercise with getting to and from hospital. Hope you have a peaceful Friday evening with a glass or two of something lovely, I think you deserve it more than ever this week!3

Glad to hear the patients are both improving. Perhaps if sil could visit Mr SA at home she would have a better idea of what he does and doesnt need. Well done for shutting her down. Mr SA sounds as though he is a bit more lucid today which is good news. I am glad to hear you have had a little time to relax in your hanging chair.

As it looks highly likely both invalids will be back home by this time next week I fully intend to enjoy having the house to myself this weekend. When I was walking to work this morning I was listening to my Sp0tify Discover Weekly. Mostly the songs it picks for me are either in Spanish, Zumba music or dance music. I was feeling very fed up when the song Tub thumping by Chumbawumba came on - that is definitely my mantra - I get knocked down but I get up again… How apt and it really spurred me on 🙂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)11

Good to hear things have taken a turn for the better, and also that you were able to put the record straight about Mr SA's abilities. Have a restful weekend.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
