Morning all. Up earlier today. Still pitch black here. Not had any news overnight. Will phone DD later.I found out about the lack of English TV, the satellite has been down for 3 weeks apparently. Mr SA is managing to survive without it anyway. Plenty of drama going off in real life don’t need to watch it on TV.Hopefully the dog has behaved herself overnight. No particular plans for today just going to go with the flow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Morning SA - hope you have a nice relaxing day today - and that life’s dramas scale down. Glad Mr SA is coping without the English tv. Soak up some rays for us x

So sorry to read about what has happened with your daughter. I think all you can do on the basis of the info you have atm is go with the flow, as you say. Try to enjoy the last few days knowing that she is in the best place & the animals are cared for.
Everything else can be dealt with when you get home.
Sending supportive vibes.

I’ve just spoken to DD, she’s had a CT scan on her stomach and they can’t find a mass or bleeding but she does have a couple of gall stones. They’re going to look for a mass or bleeding elsewhere to be on the safe side. Also spoke to DS and the dog is fine and slept all through the night. DIL is going to feed the cats later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Just delurking to say my husband was in hospital a few months ago with a similar sounding experience. He lost a massive amount of blood and had to have several transfusions. Nothing showed up in the tests. Apparently diverticular bleeding can happen at any time and usually stops spontaneously without any treatment. He has had no further trouble and has been advised to be careful with painkillers and to eat a healthy diet. I hope that it is something similar with your daughter and that you can enjoy the last days of your holiday.6

It’s good news that the hospital are doing extensive testing now and keeping her in. There’s nothing worse than when they pack people off home only to have them back again in a few days. You know they are being thorough, which is such a good thing. I’m glad your dog had a happy night ⭐️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
