Oh no, how awful. Cats are brilliant at being left on their own. Litter trays, plenty of food and their own home is all they need, so once a day visits will be fine. The dog will enjoy her holiday with DS and family. Don’t fret about them. Fingers crossed DD’s issue is easily spotted and fixed.

I'm so sorry this has happened at all, but especially during your well deserved and precious holiday. I understand how you feel as her mum and the pets' mum but your son seems to have stepped up well. Poor DD, she hasn't been well for a while has she? I will keep my fingers crossed the doctors can get her sorted quickly.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Prayers for her wellbeing and for good choices all round. It's good you were able to speak to her and your DS has stepped up to look after the animals. If you need to get home, you will do - and it's quicker by plane from Spain than from some UK destinations by road.

A few thoughts: if they keep her in, she'll have expert help if needed, 24/7.

The dog and cats are probably snoozing and won't be worrying because they don't know what's going on. They will be delighted when your DS arrives and feeds them, and the cats will probably go back to sleep when he takes the dog to his house. I think familiar surroundings help cats feel okay about things.

Mr SA won't be processing it the same as you. You're used to having to take action when there's a crisis and he isn't. It must be horrible for you, hang on to the fact that you spoke to your daughter and she was able to speak to you.

So sorry to read this. Sending positive vibes & energy to your DD. If you need to go home then so be it as that’s what your insurance is for.
I would be like you and not able to settle. Take care. Xx

At least DD is where she needs to be.  Luckily Mr SA cannot process this as you do or you would have that to deal with too.

Oh dear to the house - I don't suppose they prioritise clearing up, but at least you know so it won't be such a shock. Your hard floors are working in your favour again, and perhaps a quick word with your DS might result in a bit of a clean up.

I hadn't thought but the cats are probably a bit put out at strangers in their house. At least they have the greenhouse and some food - and there's always the garden to hunt in.
