    Oh so sorry to hear about that, what a nightmare.  Hope DD is ok.  Glad DS is there to help.  The cats will be fine as long as they have food and shelter.

    Poor DD, that must have been really scary for her. At least she is safe and being looked after. Well done to your son for sorting out the pets. I hope that you manage to relax for some of the rest of your holiday and as PIP says, a large glass of wine should probably be on the "to do" list once you've heard back from DD.
