Oh so sorry to hear about that, what a nightmare. Hope DD is ok. Glad DS is there to help. The cats will be fine as long as they have food and shelter."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1

Sorry to hear this SA, glad to hear DS is on hand . Good to hear the dog and cats have been seen to.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

The cats probably don't want to go in because of the mess, they can be just a tad fussy.

So sorry to hear all of this, SA. I know it won't relieve the stress your feeling just now but:
- DD is in the best place she can be to sort out her problems
- The cats really will be fine on their own. They are very independent little creature
- DS has the dog and it will be well looked after and fine
- Totally ignore the mess in the house. It's totally unimportant
Sending you lots of hugs and support. xxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Thank you all ❤️Thank goodness I had that spare key cut and gave it to DS. I just had a feeling…
The dog will be fine with DS, the cats will survive it’s only 4 days until we’re back and DS will feed them every day until then. He doesn’t want me to do this but I’m going to give him some money to cover petrol and for his time. I couldn’t have coped without his help.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
What a worry for you, and what timing!
So glad your DS is taking care of the important things. Of course your time on holiday won't be the same now but try to use it as an opportunity to be as well as possible so you're in the best position to support DD when she gets out of hospital. Get some sun on your skin and some food in your tummy and breathe in the balmier air- and enjoy a bloody large glass of wine! Sending good wishes to your DD, poor thing5 -
So sorry to hear about DD. Hope you can get some reassurance and settle for the rest of the holiday x

Not sure whether I’m annoyed or jealous of Mr SA who is carrying on regardless, thinking about where he’s eating tonight and is already showered and dressed ready to go out! I just feel full and sick with worry.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Poor DD, that must have been really scary for her. At least she is safe and being looked after. Well done to your son for sorting out the pets. I hope that you manage to relax for some of the rest of your holiday and as PIP says, a large glass of wine should probably be on the "to do" list once you've heard back from DD.4
