Mr SA always takes antihistamine this time of year for his hay fever and various bites he gets in the garden @Judes123I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Morning all
Enjoying the peace and quiet before Mr SA gets up. Last year these apartments had English TV channels so Mr SA was kept entertained by them. They seem to have got rid of them this time apart from Sky News so he’s bored. I’m going to try and get them on my iPad for him or he’s going to drive me nuts. Yesterday while I was relaxing on a sun bed he’d showered and got himself ready to go out by 5pm. I had to get ready and managed to stretch it out for another hour but still too early for me. He’s very child like in this respect. We had a lovely meal last night in the Asian restaurant.
The apartments have a resident cat that looks just like our young cat at home. She looks very well cared for and another guest said the receptionists look after her.,
Hopefully we’ll manage to get out for lunch today.Well the sun is out and it looks like another hot day ahead 😎I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

Have you tried asking at reception if you can access the TV channels for a fee. Although I would have thought if you could there would have been something to say that, but you never know. A bored Mr SA is just going to up any mithering & you do not need that.

Cheers for the heads up about tv situation SA - always wondered how they got all the English channels and current movies on Lanza. Maybe there’s been a crackdown island wide / we will have to take our firestick with us when we go in August xxLancashire

Hope you are enjoying your holiday despite the lack of English tv for MrSA. Sky news for hours on end will not be relaxing or entertaining.1

I read somewhere that UK broadcasting satellite dishes move over time and have recently gone 'out of range' of southern European resorts - the Algarve in particular. Not sure if that might be the cause of no TV.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3662

Subscribe to ITVX. It's only £5.99 a month but it has a 7 day free trial which should see Mr S_A through your hols. He can watch BritBox through that too which should keep him happy for hours.5
