WinterWarrior said:All the birthday shopping will give you something to concentrate on at least 🌷
Have you paid up the July holiday, or just the deposit? I’d imagine the deposit would be easier to move.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Happy Birthday to mr SA . I hope his shopping list issnt too arduous for you. Thry not to worry about dd too much. I know thats easy to say and very hard to do but you know she is being looked after and is in the best place. Could your ds pick up dds phone charger and drop it into to her, being able to talk to her might relieve your mind a bit. My best wishes to all of you.

It's a shame that your holiday has been spoiled. I think everyone would feel the same and just want to be home. If it turns out to be a similar thing to my husband you will be surprised at how quickly things return to normal. Once the blood levels were restored he recovered really quickly and within a couple of weeks was able to return to doing the things he normally does. Fingers crossed that it will be the same for your daughter. You will probably be a bit worried now when you go away but hopefully that will pass.3

I’ve spoken to DD and she’s managed to get a phone charger. She’s ok, no further tests or news but it’s the weekend so not expecting anything. She sounded very down unsurprisingly. If she’s still in when we get home I’ll visit and take her a few things.I think I’d feel easier if DIL could get the cats to come in.Spoke to DS and the dog is fine. She’s enjoying having a good sniff around his garden, new smells for her I suppose.Another lovely sunny day here.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

SA I know it’s hard for you having all that worry but try not to wish your last couple of days away you so deserve this holiday try and relax a little bit and enjoy the sunshine3

Happy shopping day to Mr SA. And I hope you find a nice gin.
Great that DD has her phone charged again, being in hospital over a weekend can't be easy for people, with not much progress and in her case, not being able to retreat to her own space. It will have helped her to be able to talk to you, are you going to try to ring her again later?
The cats will be sheltering somewhere: it's chucking it down here. Leaving the greenhouse open for them was a very good move.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Between your DD and Mr SA I think you're being remarkably restrained not having a gin before the shopping trip too 😁
Hope you manage to have some nice bits of the day.
Glad you spoke to DD and the dog is happy. The cats will be fine, as long as some food has been eaten they'll just be having a cat-like sulk at the change in routine4 -

I’ve heard from DD again and they can’t find anything seriously wrong. She’s had the camera down her throat and everything is fine. She was a bit away with the fairies after sedation to be honest and says she wants to stay in hospital because she’s enjoying the food 😬 They’re keeping her in for a few more days until her bloods are back to normal. So that’s sounding a lot more positive 🙏
Someone from work has been to see her and brought her some magazines, chocolates, fruit and a phone charger so that’s good.Mr SA has been a pain present wise and now has a new bag, necklace, bracelet and a watch. Getting the watch was a blooming nightmare and I was losing the plot with him at one stage. He’s got so many watches stuffed in a drawer at home.We had a lovely lunch in a restaurant by the sea and there was a saxophonist playing lovely relaxing chill out music. It was beautiful. Now back at the apartments sunbathing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)11 -
