is that the lightly dusted sole from Lid!? I know Als do one much the same - and very tasty they are too.
I'm resigned to the fact that generaly speaking we seem to be stuck with veg in plastic these days - although it's to be hoped it will change over time. It annoys me when the loose stuff is all from abroad, and anything British is in plastic though - I'll always prioritise British where I can, but I'd also sooner buy it loose!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Love a nice piece of sole...come to think of it I love most fish. Could live on fish and give up meat TBH.
I agree you are doing your bit for the planet with all that walking. I normally buy veg from the market stalls but have been having them from Mr S since breaking my wrist, but normally the lose ones. But at 15/19p, i couldn't really turn the offers down. It all arrived this morning, carrots in the fridge as we will eat those the quickest and I spent the morning freezing parsnips. Tonight I will get DH to chop up the 2 swede and I'll freeze most of that. My wrist still doesn't like chopping swede...way too hard. also got a red cabbage that I am sharing with DD who lives down the road as neither of us eat enough of it to warrant buying one each.

Yes @EssexHebridean it’s exactly the same. It’s really handy to keep in for a quick meal.Instead of steamed veg I’m having air fried carrots, parsnips and swede - as I have rather a lot of said items 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Forgot to say it’s DS’s birthday today - timed that well didn’t I, he wasn’t due until January. I came out of hospital Christmas Eve and was very concerned that we hadn’t got him a Christmas present 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

If he is like my dd he would remind you of that at every oppurtunity.1 -
Happy Birthday to DS 😊 did he ever complain
about combined presents? I supposed he lucked out having his birthday before Christmas. As a Capricorn January baby everyone was always stony broke by time it came to my birthday presents 🤣👍🏻Lancashire

I'm terribly boring about constantly listing doing receipt surveys on my diary, but not only is it a chance to win 'money', you can repeatedly bang on about packaging in the feedback!
Sainsers in particular have a section on their receipt survey that asks you to rate them for various things including plastic packaging, fair play to them for asking but nil points while they still have unnecessary plastic

As you can imagine when the kids were young it was a very expensive time for us with everything falling in a matter of a few weeks.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Morning all, happy Thursday 🎄
WFH today and tomorrow. No more pavement pounding through the crowded city centre streets. The wind is howling out there so grateful for not having to go far today. When I opened the patio door to let the cat in the wind nearly yanked it out of my hand.
Just waiting for the Mr M delivery to arrive any time now. Nothing missing or subbed but then it's only a very small order. Will do the very last dregs of the shopping tomorrow which will free up Saturday for giving the house a good clean.
Bought a lovely glitter strap for my FitBit but unfortunately it's brought my wrist out in an itchy rash so will have to swap it back to the old one. It's a shame as it's really sparkly.
Today's exercise plan is dog walking later this morning, a lunchtime live Yogalates session and live Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner is lentil bolognese using up a portion of lentil ragu from the freezer.
I have a massive pile of ironing to get through later plus the laundry basket is full again so the washer will be going on.
Cashed out £4 from Eureka as when you cash out (minimum £4) they send you a very short feedback survey that gains you £1.20. It's not the best site but it mounts up and I might even make two cashouts this month. Have £34 so far in PA, just over halfway to £25 cashout in Opinium and halfway to YG cashout.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
