It was shared via a work MH group and resonated with me because I can’t think of anything great I’ve achieved this year apart from keeping plodding from day to day. It was primarily aimed at social media.

Anyway that aside I only spent £14 in Mr T this morning and got a fair bit of stuff to show for it. As I have a lot of root veg I’ve got a veggie sausage stew on the go in the slow cooker for tonight’s dinner.

Finished reading The Escape by Ruth Kelly OMG what a rollercoaster of a ride that was. Highly recommend if you like a thriller with lots of twists and shocks plus a very dark undertone. Every time I thought I had it sussed the plot changed 🙀

The next door neighbour replaced a damaged fence between our houses so that’s done.

I logged off at 2pm and that’s me done until 2 January 🥳 It was very very quiet and I only received a few emails. Glad I didn’t bother going into the office.

All I need to do now is fetch a paper and some loo rolls from the local shops tomorrow, everything else is sorted.

  • You achieve more every day than I do in a month, and keeping plodding is possibly the greatest achievement of all.

Great neighbour has sorted the fence, that's a nice thing to not have dragged into the new year.

Enjoy your break! (And we would all fully support you if you told Mr SA you were still working once a week and went into central London to admire the lights x)

    Thank you all 🥰

Bit disappointed that Fairytale of New York didn’t make the Christmas number one as much as I love Last Christmas. Did anyone see Shane McGowan’s funeral where they were dancing to it? What an amazing send off!

Fairytale of New York is probably my favourite secular Christmas song.

    Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂

Got a fairly busy day as I need to give the house a good clean and tidy. First though I have a live ClubFit class at 8.45 then I need to go to the local shops and take the dog on the park. Then can I roll my sleeves up and get cracking.

I must put tags on the presents that I’ve wrapped and put in gift bags. Hopefully I’ll remember who’s is who’s. Haven’t put tags on yet as Mr SA is a devil for feeling presents and guessing what’s inside. I bought my own presents from Mr SA as I probably wouldn’t get anything or something unsuitable if I left it to him. All I asked was that he wrap them but he hasn’t so guess I’ll have to do that too! I wonder if it’s too much trouble to ask him to write the tag 😆

Hoping to finish everything by mid afternoon when I plan to put my feet up with a Christmas film and paint my toenails.

I’m making the gunpowder cauliflower and lentil curry again for tonight’s dinner it was so delicious when I made it a couple of weeks ago and I still have some of the spice mix I made left.

That's early blossom, @Sun_Addict. I have winter irises flowering at the moment. They were from my Mum years ago  - they are a variety which flower from December to about March & as they are a lovely mauve colour, add a splash of colour to winter beds. One clump never flowered but this year, on what would have been my Mum's birthday, I popped down the garden late afternoon to empty the compost caddy & noticed it was in bud! That felt like a lovely coincidence, as she always used to ask me if they were in flower yet.

P.S I got 'done' twice last night off Mr F for feeling presents. I just can't resist!
