  • Morning all, happy Thursday 🎄

WFH today and tomorrow. No more pavement pounding through the crowded city centre streets. The wind is howling out there so grateful for not having to go far today. When I opened the patio door to let the cat in the wind nearly yanked it out of my hand.

Just waiting for the Mr M delivery to arrive any time now. Nothing missing or subbed but then it's only a very small order. Will do the very last dregs of the shopping tomorrow which will free up Saturday for giving the house a good clean.

Bought a lovely glitter strap for my FitBit but unfortunately it's brought my wrist out in an itchy rash so will have to swap it back to the old one. It's a shame as it's really sparkly.

Today's exercise plan is dog walking later this morning, a lunchtime live Yogalates session and live Zumba tonight.

Do you use an app for your live workout sessions? If so, would you mind sharing which one it is please 😊.

I think there used to be a trick for watches where the metal caused irritation: paint the back with nail varnish so it doesn't actually contact the skin. I think that was more for the actual watch than the strap. Could you back the strap with something like felt? Seems a shame not to sparkle!

@theoldmansmrs it’s the WW app. I’ve been a gold member for 21 years and only pay £6.95 a month for the app. It’s worth every penny to me as they have the live classes plus live cook alongs.

  • Try Micropore tape on the underside of the strap SA - you probably wouldn't be able to wear it all the time but it would work to swap it over for those occasions when a spot of sparkle was "just the thing" I should think. I used to have awful problems with watch straps but seem to have got over it over the years - well, that or they no longer put the thing in the straps which caused me issues!

Also a January birthday. Nothing to look forward to for rest of year until Christmas again. Have always debated having an 'official' birthday in summer like the Queen had.

  • I was going to say similar but opposite to @Cherryfudge 😁 Could you apply a sparkly nail polish to the non touching side of your old strap? The varnish hardness wouldn't last but the sparkles would
(I have just spent several days trying to get sparkly varnish off my nails, the varnish came off fine, the sparkles were like 'but it's our season!')
