That’s another working week done 🥳
Worked in the office today but finished at lunchtime. It was a nice morning as some children from a nearby school came to sing carols for us. I also bumped into a few people I hadn’t seen for ages. Treated myself to a coffee from the work coffee shop.I thought it was odd that Mr SA hadn’t phoned several times so called him just to make sure he was ok and he didn’t answer. Anyway long story short he’d “lost” his phone and DD eventually found it for him in his bedside drawer 🙄
I had a message from MnS to say I’d won a bottle of liqueur spirits in their prize draw 🥳 so made sure I picked that up on the way home before they ran out of stock. I picked the berry vodka as the marmalade gin and stollen rum sounded too sweet and sickly. I’m not a big fan of the liqueur spirits as they’re usually very sweet but might add a drop of this one to Prosecco to make a sort of cocktail.Popped into Lid! on the way home for a few bits. I noticed their special fruit and veg offers bit was looking very bare so I expect they’re clearing space ready for Monday’s Christmas veg offers.Had my monthly bill from 🐙 and OMG 🙀 Still in credit by £500 but that won’t last much longer at this rate, the bill was over £100 more than the direct debit amount, the gas alone was the monthly amount.Exercise was walking to/from work on 22,000 steps so far.Tonight’s dinner is a smoked haddock fish cake and steamed veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I'm dreading seeing our bill at the weekend. We need to take our reading and send them, Last month we used over £70 more than our DD amount, but I put that down to it being extra cold for a few days and after I first broke my wrist, I didn't move about much, stayed indoors a week or so and felt cold. So hoping as its been milder and I've gotn out more and moved more, this one will be better. We are still in credit by £360, so fingers crossed.

I’ve turned down the thermostat by a degree to see if that makes a difference next month. No I don’t make my own fishcakes or veggie burgers @Makingabobor2. I’ve not had much success with them and it’s a lot of faff just for one person when the ready made ones are so good.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

We’ve had our monthly energy payment reduced from £180 to £90. Hope it’s going to cover it…..Dh is going to do some sums later.
