  • Glad you enjoyed the film. I must have seen it dozens of times. It’s always the 1st Christmas film we watch. Then we start on Elf, Miracle on 34th Street, Muppets Christmas Carol, Santa Claus the Movie, Its A Wonderful Life and White Christmas. Love the build up to Christmas more than the day itself
Always on my list are Christmas Carol (1984 version with George C Scott as Scrooge), National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and Christmas with the Kranks. Once I’ve watched those it’s officially Christmas 😆 Still hear my mom’s voice in my ear complaining about an American playing Scrooge despite the fact her mom (my grandmother) was from New York 🤣
Love it how we all prefer different films. Must be a generation thing, as  I'm pretty certain I'm older than you...lol

SA, my vets will post out the flea treatment, so it'd be worthwhile calling them and explaining the difficulty of getting to them by public transport especially in the dark. Don't be afraid to play the "I'm a carer and don't like to leave Mr SA alone for such a long period of time" card.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

I don’t think you’re that much older than me 😆

Forgot to add I always have to watch the Good Life Christmas special. I also like Home Alone, prefer the second one Lost in New York to the first one.

Not sure where I’m going to find the time for all this film watching before Christmas 🤣

    Morning all, happy Tuesday 🎄

WFH today 😁 Already had a Mr M delivery so that's been put away. I appear to have forgotten to add much food to the delivery in my excitement of grabbing another 6 bottles of red wine on the last day of 25% off and using the £50 off voucher 🤣 We have plenty in stock though, no one will starve and I no longer have any room in my cupboard for bottles of wine!

I had to make some room in the freezer for mini pizzas and sausage rolls ordered for the Christmas Eve buffet with the GKs so decided to do another freezer inventory. I'm amazed I managed to fit it all in but it's surprising how much room you can make by taking things out of their boxes! It's fair to say Mr SA won't need any more meat for the foreseeable.

I've finally written out my Christmas cards and they're stamped and ready to post, all six of them.

All this productivity before 7am 😆

Today's exercise is taking the dog for a run on the park later this morning, bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight. Might sneak in a Christmas Get Fit with Rick session this afternoon.

Cleaning task is the kitchen and the rest of the downstairs if I get time.

Tonight's dinner is leftover roast gunpowder cauliflower & lentils from Sunday. The recipe turned out really well mixing my own gunpowder spice and I'll definitely be making this recipe again, it was really tasty.

It doesn't look like Lid! are doing their Christmas gin again this year sadly so have ordered a bottle of Edinburgh Christmas gin from Am@zon for £23.

  • Love the Good Life - my Great Aunt always massively reminded the family of Margot, so it always gave us a good giggle seeing how she reacted to things!

Congrats to you on getting through the last 10 years with the humour and resolution you have SA. Mr S A just has to play with the hand dealt him - you have also had to adjust though, and also without any real choice in the matter. I'm absolutely sure that he would not have coped as well as he had without you behind him advocating for him and making sure that his much-changed life is as smooth as it can be.

Thanks for the Cause of Death recommendation as well - just done a download request for that as it's right up our street!
