Glad you have had a relaxing morning so far. Started reading your old diary last night. So glad Mr SA is still in remission after all you both went through. My mum had a brain tumour & first thing was her falling down the stairs one day, even then the Drs said it was just her eyesight & it took many more bad episodes before they said it was the tumour. You were lucky Mr SA got treated so well, so quicklyMaking the debt go down and savings go up

Enjoy, We watched it last Sunday as our 1st Christmas film. Had a drink & a stollen slice with it. Still want to slap Harry for being such a horrible husband though....lolMaking the debt go down and savings go up

So we decided to go to the bigger local park with the Christmas market instead of the park across the road. It ended up a spends day as Mr SA wanted a coffee and a sausage roll. I bought a poinsettia and a pot. The sun was out when we left but rained all the way home so we were soaked. The dog wasn’t impressed. Then as soon as we got back home the sun came out - typical!Mr SA went to bed after his lunch so took the opportunity to watch Love Actually. I will never get tired of watching this film I absolutely love it. It makes me laugh and cry in equal measures. Now I need to crack on and get things done.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Glad you enjoyed the film. I must have seen it dozens of times. Its always the 1st Christmas film we watch. Then we start on Elf, Miracle on 34th Street, Muppets Christmas Carol, Santa Claus the Movie, Its A Wonderful Life and White Christmas. Love the build up to Christmas more than the day itselfMaking the debt go down and savings go up

That's Monday done.
Worked in the office until just after lunchtime then came home to finish up. I definitely wasn't feeling the love for getting up when the alarm went off at 5am this morning.
The new 4 week budget period starts today and there was a small underspend of £51.85 over all spending pots during the last budget period. £1.85 has been transferred to the Christmas 2024 pot and £25 each to the entertainment and personal spends pots. There was an overspend in the grocery pot but the other pots were underspent. Keeping a tighter rein on the grocery budget during this budget period and it will get off to a good start with the £50 off voucher which will be used on tomorrow's Mr M delivery. Main reasons for the overspend were picking bits of Christmas food up and a fair bit of stocking up on good offers, hopefully will reap the benefits of the stocking up in the coming period.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work, will end the day on just over 20,000 steps.
Picked up a few Christmas presents from MnS on the way home from work. Annoyed that I had a free diffuser to pick up from the Sparks app but they were out of stock. I should've made an effort to go in there on Friday and pick it up really. Although I was going to give DGS money for Christmas I saw some nice pyjamas for him with a gaming theme and he loves his games so thought they were quite appropriate. Also popped in Lid! for a couple of things.
Mr SA had to rescue a wood pigeon from the young cat this morning. How she manages to catch them I don't know as they're much bigger than her!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
