You’ll be pleased to hear I’ve only done 16,418 steps today as no pavement pounding back and forth to the office 😆
Got absolutely soaked taking the dog out this afternoon. It’s been dark and raining all day, really gloomy.Christmas present wise I’ve about done apart from something else for DD. She’s a nightmare to buy for and can never come up
with anything she wants. I’ve got her socks and a bottle of wine so far. She loved the MnS Pink Pepper perfume I got her last year and was quite pleased because several people at work commented on how nice it was. So I might get her another bottle of that. DS can’t think of anything DGS wants so will probably give him money. I try to get ahead as much as I can but the GKs and DD are always the last stumbling blocks.Realised I will need to get a bus again tomorrow 😭 I need to go to the vets straight from work to pick up flea/worm treatment for the young cat and the dog. However it will be lunchtime rather than rush hour so should be a better experience. Also going to BnQ while I’m in that neck of the woods to pick up a new toilet seat, bath sealant and something to fix the bathroom sink plug hole. I’ve been on U Tube and I’m under the impression I’ll be able to do these jobs myself. What could possibly go wrong 🤣🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Nice socks and a bottle of perfume sounds like an aces gift
Good luck on the bus 😁
You're fab at most things so I'm sure if you think you can do the bathroom fittings then you can. Maybe lock Mr SA away while you're tackling these tasks though!3 -

That’s another working week done. Was in the office today until lunchtime. Not the most successful day unfortunately. First off went out of my way to W@it rose on my way to work under the impression I was going to pick up some gunpowder spice for the gunpowder cauliflower I’m making on Sunday. They didn’t have it 🙁 I did pick up the free coffee and weekend paper though.Finished work early to pick up the flea/worm treatment for cat and dog. Last time I caught this bus that goes to the retail park where the vets is the bus stop was just down the road from work. I did double check with the bus company’s website first for timings. Got to the bus stop and it was no longer the right stop. Despite checking the bus company’s website I couldn’t ascertain where I needed to catch this bus. So decided to catch a different bus that would take me in the vicinity of the retail park. Got off at a stop I believed was a decent walking distance only to find out it wasn’t. Walked for what seemed like forever until I finally saw it in the distance like an oasis in the desert. I have never been so grateful to see the Golden Arches of Maccy D’s ever before in my life 😆
Picked up the flea/worm treatment no problem.BnQ 🙁 No toilet seat to fit ours, we have a square toilet. No shower seals. Picked up a plug replacement and it doesn’t fit. No wonder people shop online you just can’t find what you want in physical shops!!
Amongst all this Mr SA was constantly ringing me to ask when I’d be home 😐
Anyway another day of 28,000 steps, 20,000 of them done in one go. Jumped straight in the bath when I got home.Tonight’s dinner was a stir fry.MSE type things: free coffee, free diffuser from MnS app and £1.70 from 🐙 for the energy saving hour I’d totally forgotten about so entirely a fluke.Feet up with a glass of wine shortly followed by an early night on the cards 🥱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

I’m so annoyed that you can’t get what you want in physical shops. And they wonder why folks shop online 😡Also the road I had to walk along was a bypass so busy as hell. And no consideration whatsoever at the retail park for pedestrians with nowhere you could cross the road safely. Had to rely on the good grace of drivers letting me cross.Next time I have to go to the vets I will phone the bus company beforehand and ask where on earth do I catch this elusive bus in the city centre as it seems to be a closely guarded secret!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
