The 'Good Life' Christmas Special is annual viewing here too. Mr F reckons we are a bit like Tom & Barbara in our house. I was not sure what to make of that! Perhaps I should weave him an enormous wonky green jumper for his Christmas present if he carries on with that kind of remark!

That's Wednesday done and the worst of the working week over.
Worked in the office most of the day today and did the last hour from home.
Thank you all for the lovely comments about my last diary. I still can't believe what happened and no one would've believed back then Mr SA would still be here 10 years later, not least his consultant!
Popped into B00ts on the way home and picked up a huge bottle of shampoo and matching conditioner to wrap up for DD's Christmas present. Should keep her going for a while. I need to get something else for DGS to finish off his and that's everyone sorted. Just need to wrap everything up now.
It's 4 years ago today that I was hit by the car on the way to work, broke my leg and had to have stitches in my head. That was just weeks before Covid too, I'd only been back in the office for 2 weeks when we went into lockdown. How fast that has flown by!
Today's exercise is walking to/from work and a Zumba class at 6pm so will end the day on at least 25,000 steps.
Tonight's dinner is salmon, rice and steamed veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
As anniversaries go SA, I can identify better ones to celebrate!!
I like the practicalities of things like shampoo for presents too - we do that in our household as well, buying the dull stuff that then saves the other person having to spend their own money on them!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

You've been amazing over the last 10 years and MrSA is undoubtedly very well cared for by you. Whilst we all smile at the amusing way you describe his antics we are also in awe of how you cope with the challenges life throws at you including being run over!

Yes it’s been a very eventful 10 years - Mr SA’s illness, two grandchildren, me being run over 3 times - the first by a cyclist who didn’t stop on a zebra crossing, then by Mr SA on his scooter, then the car, got promoted at work and acquired a new cat - oh my days 🙀🤣 Also had a lot of work done on the house - new kitchen, bathroom, boiler, central heating system, refurbished the bedroom and living room, lots of work done on the garden too.No wonder I’m shattered 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Morning all, happy Friday eve 🎄
WFH today - woo hoo!
Nice relaxing start to the morning reading and drinking coffee. Just started a new book and loving it already - The Escape by Ruth Kelly (thriller).
I have a team Christmas quiz later this morning and we have to go on camera so I'd better put some mascara and lippie on. I hate anything like this with a passion! Our team is dotted all over the country with the majority in Scotland so it's not as if we can go for a meal instead, I do miss going out for the office meal but it's just not do-able with the geographical split.
It should be a NSD today, not had many at all this month but then I've been picking up bits for Christmas.
I'm going to try and get the upstairs cleaned after work so I don't have as much to do at the weekend. Also need to sort out the fridge and see what's needed for the weekend and what needs using up. Trying to resist buying more veg at the moment as the cheap deals start next week - Lid! is from Monday.
Today's exercise will be taking the dog on the park later this morning, a stretch & tone class at lunchtime and Zumba at 5.30.
Tonight's dinner will be based around what I've got in the fridge that needs using.
