WFH today.
Have been to Aldi this morning for a few things, spent less than £10 and got a fair bit of fresh stuff. I was trying to wait until tomorrow but we were running out of bread. It's a fair walk so that was 8k steps in the bag early in the day.
Money-wise have checked over finances and sent 2 days of payments to the 1p savings challenge. My bank have finally released the £300 to YBS Christmas Saver so that's up and running now. Trying very hard to spend as little as possible out of the budget pots until the new 4 week period starts next week. Looking like coming in under budget at the moment.
Mortgage payments and overpayments have gone out, pleased that there are only 7 payments left on the additional borrowing part of it. Once that's paid off I'm going to start overpaying the mortgage.
Tonight's dinner is one of my old favourites Spanish style butterbean stew with veggie chorizo sausages.
Exercise is a goal of 15k steps plus a live lunchtime Pilates class.
Cleaning tasks are to give the bathroom a good clean and to vacuum and mop all the floors.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Oh dear, that's a big worry @Sun_Addict, & definitely worth monitoring.

Love the smug cat and jealous dog 😂

The dog eventually won by sniffling the cat until she moved. She then sat on my knee to ward off any feline attempts to get close 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Just a (revolting) thought but in this house by the time someone has said 'cat honk' and I've fetched cleaning materials for downstairs incidents, a dog has inevitably munched the pre warmed biscuits. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

That’s another working week done.
Worked in the office today but only did 6 hours. Popped into Primani on the way home and they finally have the cotton wool pads I like back in stock and they’re still only 90p a pack. I’ve been trying hard to persevere with the reusable pads but can’t get on with them, they really drag on my skin.Had a hairdresser appointment this afternoon so my hair is all neat and tidy - until tomorrow anyway 😆
That’s about it really, nothing exciting, the highlights of my day were the £1 coffee and cookie deal at work and buying 3 packs of cotton wool pads. That’s how I roll 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Sounds an exciting day to me 😁 my highlight was ordering some wildflower seeds online 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Another Saturday has flown by.Did a live ClubFit class this morning then went to the big Mr T. Took Mr SA and the dog so the dog got a good walk as it’s a fair distance then came home via the park across the road so she had a run with her ball too.DS was working today so no visit from the GKs. I used the time freed up wisely and decided to move everything around in the dining room. I saw what I thought was cat 💩behind the bookcase so had to remove all my books to move it. Turned out to be a fluffy toy 🤦♀️ Anyway I moved the big bookcase to where the small bookcase was and vice versa. It has freed up so much room! No idea why but it has. Took me the best part of 2 hours to clean and put everything back but I’m pleased with the results. I keep admiring it, clearly need to get out more 🤣Beetroot burger, salad and wedges for tonight’s dinner plus rose cava to drink later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
