That's Monday done.
Worked in the office until 2.30 then finished up at home. Really didn't feel like traipsing there today but glad I made the effort in the end as it got me out of the house.
I didn't wake up until after 6 this morning! I usually leave the house at 6.30! "Gaining" an hour has totally thrown me out. Fortunately I'm not on set hours so it doesn't matter what time I start work.
Money wise it's payday eve, finances have been checked and weekend spends added to my spreadsheet and another windows/door payment has gone out, just 3 more to go now. Today is also a NSD.
Cashed out £30 from PA. Total survey earnings this month = £55.
Exercise has been walking to/from work.
Tonight's dinner is salmon, lime and coriander rice and steamed veg.
Oh and the fence repair and gates quote has just arrived. It's less that I thought it would be. They gave me a quote for the cheapest gates and the next ones up (which I preferred) and there's only about £50 difference so will probably go with the dearer ones.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Pleased the quote was less than expected…..always a bonus 👍January spends - £587.580

I need to get a quote for someone to look at the guttering at the front of the house. When it rains heavily it absolutely pours from this gutter. Very annoyingly Mr SA is refusing to pay someone to sort it out. He reckons he can do it himself and is adamant he will catch the bloke next door and ask to borrow his long ladder 🤦♀️ Fortunately I know the bloke next door won’t let him climb the ladder but I really don’t want the embarrassment of putting him on the spot to look at our guttering. I think it probably only needs clearing out.As the fence/gates are less than expected I’d like to have the bathroom painted. Last time I did it and didn’t make the best job of it 😬 I’m rubbish at manual work and was born to work in an office - give me a spreadsheet over a paint brush any time 😆 We also need a new toilet seat which isn’t as straightforward as it sounds as we have a square toilet 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Personally I would be inclined to remind MrSA that he can manage to fall over on flat, level ground, and that therefore climbing up a ladder is NOT something that is going to happen on the basis that the bloodstain would look really nasty on the patio...
If anything requires doing to our gutters I can categorically assure anyone that asks we will be "getting a man in!"🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Happy Halloween 🎃
WFH today.
It's finally payday and the backdated pay rise has arrived 😁 The usual payday shuffle has been done. CC balance has been cleared off and various savings pots have been topped up. I can't send the £200 to Nationwide RS until after the 13th so this has been put to one side for now.
The YBS Christmas Saver matures today and that will turn into an easy access saver tomorrow. The interest rate is pretty decent for an easy access at 4.8% so this will be where the emergency fund lives I think.
Spending - had a Mr M delivery first thing and Mr SA bought himself some new gloves from the charity shop for £2.50. Also booked to have my nails and eyebrows done next week.
The fence repair and new gates are booked in for 2 weeks on Friday. Need to find someone to look at the guttering next.
Exercise has been dog walking this morning, bums and tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight.
I've filled the Halloween paper cups with sweets for Trick or Treaters tonight, I've got 20 and once they're gone that's it. Not really looking forward to the constant knocking on the door and the dog barking but it's only one night a year. I have tried to hide and not go to the door in the past but Mr SA gave the game away by peering through the curtains. According to our local FB group our road is one of the best ones around here for trick or treating on - it would be!
Tonight's dinner is an old favourite recipe - nutty sweet potato and lime stew.
Must ring the charity shop to pick up the 6 bin bags of donations.

I wouldn’t even be keen upon Mr ES climbing ladders to sort out guttering so the thought of Mr SA going up one when he can’t seem to climb the stairs without falling has to be a daft idea. I would just book someone in and don’t tell him.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
