The interest is calculated daily and applied once a month from the date you put the money in. I put my sinking funds and my christmas savings in there as you can have as many pots as you need - they also do longer term fixed savings where my DS has his money and that's currently on over 4%.

Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂
@Makingabobor2 Zopa has good reviews as a bank and is regulated so should be safe.
Weigh in day and I’ve lost another half a pound. Happy with that as haven’t been 100% on it and I only want to lose 7lbs for my April holiday.
No visitors today so the plan is to give the house a really good clean. I try and keep on top of it in the week but I don’t have a lot of spare time with working, exercise sessions and cooking from scratch. Mr SA is really messy and never clears up after himself, he leaves crumbs and coffee stains everywhere 😞Today’s exercise is a live ClubFit class at 8.45 and dog walking.I’m only going to local shops today as I only need a paper.Pizza and rose cava tonight 🍕🍾I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
I love rose cava.....(sighs......)
Enjoy your Saturday, once you've done your cleaning chores. We will also be cleaning as I didn't do any yesterday. Aiming to get it done as soon as we get back from town so I can read & do nice stuff this afternoon.

I've just opened an account with them. Very easy and quick to do. I have transferred a small amount just to see how it works for now. Better rates that is for sure to my current savingsMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Mr SA is driving me nuts today. He’s obsessed with Lypsyls and simply must have around 10 in stock before he starts panicking. He’s down to his last one and is hassling me to death to buy some. I couldn’t find any locally so have had to order from Amazon - at a price. Told him it’s time he swapped brands as this one is getting increasingly expensive and hard to source. I wouldn’t mind but I have a box full of lip balms and he won’t use them because they’re not his preferred brand. He’s always losing them too. They will be here tomorrow but he’s worried because he only has one left and it might not last him. I mean who uses a whole lip balm in a day. I’ve ordered him a pack of 6 and he’ll say that’s not enough 😫I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Haha lipsyls are the new pester from Mr SA for now then? I have to say I like lipsyls too as I walk a lot so get dry lips and have a habit of putting them in coat pockets then changing coats. I am not fussy about brands though and don't go through them really quickly. The one in my handbag has been there for months. Hmm not sure if they go off like makeup.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Have you looked into whether the lids are interchangable?

Interchangeable lids are a good idea. Hope it fits but I bet it doesn’t 😏

@Makingabobor2 it works really well. I have never had an issue since I first started using it, and I was really cautious at the start. I only transferred £1 to see if it worked and it was there within 20 minutes.
You open the zopa app, say you want to add money, it will ask where from (you will already have input one or more bank accounts) so you select and how much and into which pot, then it transfers you to your other account to verify that, and back again. And within 20 minutes the money will be in your pot. I love seeing the little amounts add up as my sinking funds and it reminds me of being little and going to the post office with my book to be made up with interest when the monthly interest is added - little things!
