I hope your DiL is doing okay. I can understand not wanting hair shaved off but as you said, once it grows back it's hard to detect a shunt.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Sending positive vibes for dil.
Can you unplug the tv at night time and plug in again in the morning for him….or will it disrupt the settings?January spends - £587.583 -
Thanks for all your good wishes for DIL. She's still in hospital and now has Covid on top of everything else!
Mr SA did behave himself last night thankfully no TV in the early hours. @milann he usually goes to bed first to watch TV so he's still watching it when I go up. I fall asleep the minute my head hits the pillow even with the TV on.
I worked in the office this morning until lunchtime then WFH for the last part of the day. It was really busy in the office today.
NSD 8 today. Did a quick check of finances and have sent £200 to the holiday pot, £5.20 to the Christmas pot and £3.32 to the 1p savings challenge pot.
Exercise is the walk to/from work just over 16,000 steps plus I'm doing a live Zumba class at 6pm so will be well over the 20,000 mark by bedtime.
Trying a new recipe from my WW cookbook for tonight's dinner veggie sausage and bean cassoulet. Going to make 2 portions so I can have the other one for lunch tomorrow or Friday.
Walking to work this morning in the dark and I passed a grassy area where some workmen have been digging. I noticed some green lights in the grass and thought how pretty they looked. I thought wow the council have been splashing their money about putting lights in the grass. When I actually got closer I realised the "pretty lights" were actually those electric scooters laid on their sides in the grass 😆

Oh no she could do without covid.January spends - £587.582

DS has now got Covid although no symptoms. DGD is off school sick so no doubt she’s got it too. That’s this weekend’s visit off the cards. The veggie sausage cassoulet was gorgeous. The vegan sausages from Lid! are really tasty 😋
The fur babies have driven me nuts since I got home from work. Constantly looking for food and waiting to be let out of the door then wanting to come straight back in 😞 The cats won’t eat the Mr M own brand food I bought them, will have to pick up the Lid! own brand they like tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
