It’s not just the cooking, the sausages are for a proper meal not just a random lunch and he generally eats 4 at a time. He can be very greedy with food, can never fill him up.
My mother by the time she had been in the care home a few months lost her "off" switch, from being quite a small eater.

That made me laugh about Mr SA and the possibility of swede chips - I have to say, while I don't dislike swede as a veg in a stew, or part of a three root mash, I certainly wouldn't fancy eating it in place of regular chips! is it just as chips you're not keen on regular potatoes or do you not like them at all?  We had a poster on here years ago who had a complete aversion to mash - we were all pretty much barred from even mentioning it on her diary!

It’s just chips I’m not keen on @EssexHebridean I just find them boring, although not keen on mash either. I cook swede chips in the air fryer coated with garlic and rosemary and they’re delicious.

Forgot to say something that amused me re the Lanzarote FB group I’m part of - apparently the restaurants and shops are overjoyed that potatoes from the UK are finally back on the island after a severe shortage. There has been rationing of said UK potatoes. Sort of takes the shine off the Canarian potatoes I love are probably from our own fair isles 🤣
