Yes I would’ve thought they’d get them from Spain 🤔 I’m aware they have to import everything due to nothing being able to grow there other than bananas and cacti but didn’t realise they relied on us for potatoes - although not from Kent as they have Colorado beetle infestation there apparently. Anyway they’re happy again now, it was a big story in their news 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

That’s another working week done. Was in the office again, just did a short day today. I was really busy with meetings so it flew by.I was in the queue for the Friday coffee and cookie for £1 deal at work and a colleague insisted on paying for mine, isn’t that lovely 😊
Payday today 🥳 Not had time to do any money shuffling it can wait until another day there’s no rush.Mr SA was a pain ringing me to ask where I was at 1.30!! Hello I have that thing called a job that pays the bills 🤔 I feel really pressured when he does this as it makes me feel I have to go straight home after work and Friday is the only day I finish early and don’t have to rush to log on again when I get home. I like to take my time and maybe pop into a shop or two. As it happened I wanted to have a look in TK Maxx on the way home and bought a coffee mug that keeps hot for 12 hours which I’ll use for work.I was walking home when who did I bump into but blooming Mr SA who had come looking for me 😡 I’m still annoyed by this as it makes me feel really trapped.Have received PIN numbers for the new current account debit cards so it’s all going ahead.Exercise has been walking to/from work just over 21,000 steps. Tonight’s dinner was smoked haddock fish cake with sweet potato wedges and lots of veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

Forgot to report a few things:
Passed a bloke in the city centre who suddenly produced a coat complete with tag from under his hoodie - obviously just shoplifted it!By contrast in the shopping centre a young lad was playing the piano in there and he was absolutely amazing - so talented.
Had an email from Quidco to say if I spent £5 or more today with selected retailers I’d get £15. So ordered the chopping boards I’ve been after for a while for £5.50. Hopefully this goes through.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
How maddening of Mr SA. I suppose it's to do with the damage he's had, but it must make you feel very restricted, and you deserve your Friday end of the week feeling.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂 The last day of September, another month flown by.Doing a live ClubFit class in just over an hour followed by a trip to the shops as we’re running out of bread and cat food.DS and the GKs are visiting later. I was hoping to meet them in the local big park but it looks like rain is forecast for this afternoon. I wish the GKs would bring something to do with them as they get bored and DD is working so they won’t be able to play on her games system. I’ve got crayons and sketch pads but they don’t always want to draw.Hoping to fit in a bit of decluttering at some point. I’m on a mission to declutter the whole house by the end of October. First up is clothes and shoes.Tonight’s dinner is butternut squash and kale curry. Plus there’s pink Prosecco to watch Strictly with.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
