There was more than one prawn honestly 🤣
Managed to get most of the bedroom decluttering done and there are now 3 full bags for the charity shop. Just need to do a make up declutter and I can move on to another room.
Made a batch of butternut squash, red pepper and red onion soup for work lunches. Not had this one for a while. Now to watch the Strictly results followed by Jamie Oliver with leftover Prosecco and that’s the weekend sadly done 🙁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Forgot to say I got out the Halloween decorations box and was really pleased to discover I had an autumn wreath I’d forgotten about 🎃I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Your dinner looks yummy. Glad you got a second prawn, though.
Well done on the declutter. I'm hopeless at decluttering makeup though in theory I can use a makeup recycling bin at Tesco. I scanned the QR code on it and got a message that the code could be dodgy so my makeup is still cluttering up my house.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That’s Monday well and truly done.Worked in the office this morning then finished at lunchtime to meet a retired work friend for a drink. We had a lovely catch up, not seen her for over a year. It will be a regular thing now we’ve exchanged phone numbers. In money saving news, trialled the coffee mug this morning and it worked very well. The story is when I work in the office I make a coffee in the morning before I set off and don’t really get time to enjoy it because I’m rushing. So I decided to get an insulated cup and take the coffee with me to work and enjoy it at my desk. This will stop the temptation to buy one from the work coffee shop (apart from the Friday £1 coffee and cookie day that is). Anyway the coffee was still piping hot and was very enjoyable. I paid £7.99 for the cup so it will have paid for itself in less than 3 uses.Mr SA spotted said cup and said he wanted one. I reminded him he has a similar Cost@ one which wasn’t cheap! Also had to remind him he doesn’t go to work!He was the same on Saturday when DIL mentioned DGD has been asking for a N0rth F@ce jacket for Christmas. This prompted Mr SA to say he wants one 😬 I doubt he even knows what they look like!Popped into Lid! On the way home for a few things I need before the big shop on Thursday.Tonight’s dinner is leftover curry from Saturday. Exercise has been the just over 20,000 steps done walking to/from work.Still not done the payday money shuffle but will do tomorrow morning before I start work. WFH tomorrow - bliss 😊I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Glad the coffee mug worked well.My OH is a coffee snob and likes it very strong so we've brought coffee bags with us and he's been enjoying a good coffee on our balcony watching the world go by. For him it's as much about the quality of coffee as the money saving.3

Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today so a leisurely start to the day with a coffee and my book.
Finally done the payday shuffle. Sent £300 to the YBS Christmas Saver, this is the last payment as it matures at the end of the month. Put aside £125 for the Princip@lity, I can send this after the 4th of the month. This is also the final payment for this one as it's due to mature. Anyway I think (hope!) I've done these two regular savers properly and not fluffed the extra interest! I do need to check where the interest is going as sometimes it gets sent to the current account and this time next week I'll have a new one.
£60 has gone to the sinking funds pot although have paid out £19.99 for my annual subscription to the Feel Better app. £55.66 has gone to the 1p saver challenge pot. A small oddment has gone to the Christmas pot. My survey cashout of £42.31 has gone to the fritter pot.
Oh my days I need an accountant to do my finances 🤣
CC has been cleared of the past week's spends. Another payment has gone to the windows/door - there are just 4 more payments to go then this is done. Another mortgage payment has gone out complete with £100 overpayment. It was so nice not to have the additional borrowings payment going out this month, thank goodness that one is done.
Today's exercise is dog walking later this morning, live bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is veggie sausage traybake.
House tasks are the laundry, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom and decluttering my make up.
Oh and it will be NSD2 of October.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
As your account is being switched via the switching service it will all happen automatically and the interest will just land in your new account as though nothing was different. All very clever isn't it!
